Bass_Akwards Posted July 17, 2009 Posted July 17, 2009 Anyone know anything about old lures and how much they're worth? I have 5 or 6 super old wooden Heddon lures that I wouldn't mind selling on e-bay of they are worth anything. Just noticed some guy sold one for $31,000 and that got my heart pumping. I also have an old wooden Poe lure that's hand painted but have no idea what that's worth either. Any ideas to find out how much these lures could be worth if anything at all? Quote
Avalonjohn44 Posted July 17, 2009 Posted July 17, 2009 What are the names of the lures? Ebay is the quickest way to gauge the market value of things, but not all collectors buy from ebay so it is not a precise measurement of value. Quote

I go through E-bay when trying to get an idea of an items monetary value. Usually works! Quote
Bass_Akwards Posted July 18, 2009 Author Posted July 18, 2009 How can I tell what the names of the lures are? It doesnt really say anywhere on the baits. Quote
Super User Paul Roberts Posted July 18, 2009 Super User Posted July 18, 2009 I've sold a lot of old lures directly to collectors or on ebay. Can be surprising what some collectors will pay. Don't expect 30k, but can help with the habit. Post some pics, get the names, and research online. Quote
Blue Streak Posted July 18, 2009 Posted July 18, 2009 Do a Google search for vintage lures and you will find sites where the collectors hang out. They can tell you what they are and what they are worth. Quote
