I am looking for a good spinning reel and maybe rod. I am an avid fisherman and can't decide Wat to get. I am planning on using it for soft plastics such as flukes sinkos and other things lime that. Any ideas?

Shimano 2500 size spinning reel or another comprable brand.

Check the reel's line test with the rod's specifications to be sure to match them properly for the best performance. ;)

Check the flea market here and you should be able to find a deal and not burn a hole in your pocket.

Yea, check out further down the Reel page I made a post about the new President line, such a good deal or the money. Just had a 15 min session with it yesterday pre-pats game and it was so effin smooth, I loved it. Caught a crappie :) on my first cast lol. Sure fire winner under 100$

I'm selling a Shimano Sahara 2500, I think I have it in the flea market. If not $65.00 TYD. Spooled with new Suffix 832 braid 8lb. Reel is like new.

I'm big on buying used from people. If you get a reel from someone who takes care of their gear you can get a very good reel for less than you can find it anywhere else.

See what feels best on your rod, which handle is comfortable when retrieving, most reels in the 60-100 range will perform fine, don't get hung up on brand.

I know some might consider it cheap, but the $49 Quantum nitrous combo is an awesome setup, all my spinning gear are about $50 combos by Quantum. I have one combo ive used for 5 years now and it is just awesome for plastics. The Nitrous combo is on sale at Dicks for $49.
