Do you guys look for a jig for extreme heavy cover conditions? A heavy duty jig for heavy fish and heavy cover? Big O, Paul. and I have come up with an Extreme Conditions jig. The hook is one of the finest hooks made and is virtually impossible to bend. This jig has a heavier weedgaurd for those nasty conditions. This jig will be available in a Brush Jig and a Football Jig. I'll be releasing it later this week.

Heavy weedguard, heavy guage hook, recessed line tie, like the outkast RT jig.

Yes, but the hook is better quality. Its an Owner XXX hook. The recess will only be on the Brush head. The price will be close to that Outkast jig.

Here are some specs

Weedgaurd is heavy

Hook Owner XXX hook

Skirt will be approx 55 strand

Powder Coated paint

Why a football jig? Seems to me that if your fishing grass that the head style would do terrible and that an Arky head head would be better around laydowns. I normally associate a football jig with sparse cover, maybe there is something I'm overlooking. That said I'm a big fan of using Owner over the typical Mustad hooks.

Primus, the football makes quite a commotion in brush its seems to work better for me at times. Especially in big timber. Give it a try and see. Some jig head styles sometimes pull through easier but not all of them make the thumping against the wood because of the shape of the head.

I like arkie style in timber, but I bet a football would work great at deflecting.

I will be releasing both of these latest models on the FISH this week too :D I've had a blast testing and helping tweak things a bit and I'll guarantee them to be the best jigs I've ever used. Thanks Mike and Paul...Absolutely FANTASTIC Jigs!

After this little fishing excursion, I'll describe the need for such a jig and show why it's better than others out there... It's all in the DETAILS!!!

love these jigs more and more every time i fish 'em. another great day using 'em today. the hook is an absolute monster. strong as can be, but sets with the ease of light wire. and this hook holds a point like nobody's business. even after weeks of hanging fish after fish (and the occasional tree ), there is no noticeable difference in sharpness between the ones i've been using and the brand new ones i've got. and i've yet to jack or roll a point - something i've done all too often with other so called "premium" hooks. even using 7 foot rods, 50 lb. braid, and wrecking ball force hooksets, this jig comes through unscathed time after time. and best of all, i've not lost one fish that i've put a hook in. i've put this jig through some serious torture, and it's come through with flying colors. i've not lost a single strand of weedguard and it remains as well anchored in the jig as it did the day i took it out of the package. the paint job still looks great. this baby is built like a tank. fantastic job Mike!!! you've really outdone yourself on this one.

That's one of the main reason this jig intriques me is that Owner hook, when the fish is on its yours. They make the best jig hook on the market, the only problem is the few jigs that I used in the past ( not Gmans ) were otherwise poorly put together such as the Poor Boys bullet jigs that I used to buy.

I'm curious if the elite bullet jig that GMAN offers could be made with this hook ? This jig intriques me because the standard bullet mold that most jigmakers use do not offer a bait keeper that's on this jig and with an owner hook, wire tie etc this jig would be a great solution for fishing grass.

Thanks Guys! I'll work on the pictures tonight.

Primus- I can not find a Owner 30 deg hook. If I could I could make them. I wish I could locate one.
