Super User BASSclary Posted September 12, 2011 Super User Posted September 12, 2011 You know it if you watched the Cowboys-Jets game, and are a cowboys fan. Everything that could've gone wrong in the 4th quarter did. Murphy's Law has prevailed. Quote
Super User skunked_again Posted September 12, 2011 Super User Posted September 12, 2011 hell of a way to find out Romo is an over-paid Matt Cassel. Quote
Super User Grey Wolf Posted September 12, 2011 Super User Posted September 12, 2011 The Boys have to get a quality Q.B. Just saying. Quote
Super User Sam Posted September 13, 2011 Super User Posted September 13, 2011 I am still surprised that Romo is the Cowgirls QB. I would have thought Jerry Jones would have found a quality QB by now. I want the Cowgirls to do bad so Satan will leave Bamasux and go coach the Cowgirls back to glory. I would think Satan would love that challenge after another year of being crowned the BCS Champ before any games had been played and then not winning the National Championship, again. Quote
Super User BASSclary Posted September 13, 2011 Author Super User Posted September 13, 2011 Tony Romo is not a bad quarter-back. Had had a bad quarter. The rest of the game he was doing fantastic. Quote
Super User Grey Wolf Posted September 13, 2011 Super User Posted September 13, 2011 he is mediocre at best. Quote

Tony Romo is a known choker when games are on the line, and this isnt just hate from a Redskins fan, its fact, he is constantly blowing games. I hope you seriously dont buy the constant annual unwarranted media hype given to the Cowboys every year, especially by the people from ESPN aka Cowboys Network... also, as a Redskins fan, i enjoy seeing you suffer as a Cowboys fan, especially the Cowpuke fans from VA, DC, and MD who have never even been near Texas... 1 Quote
Super User deaknh03 Posted September 13, 2011 Super User Posted September 13, 2011 Romo is a mini Favre, when the pressure is on, he thinks the best thing to do is just throw the ball, anywhere. Unfortunately, this is not how a winning QB operates, and is why Parcells never really liked him. Quote

Red Posted September 13, 2011 Posted September 13, 2011 I saw the game and I am a Cowboys fan. As soon as they decide to get a QB I think things will turn for the better. I always hear about how great Romo's stats are. I don't care if you throw for 500 yards every game, if you blow it in the last few minutes you might as well have thrown for zero yards. Romo is too inconsistent for me. I have never liked him but was willing to give him my faith for one more year, Don't know if it will last through the next game. Cliff Quote
Super User slonezp Posted September 13, 2011 Super User Posted September 13, 2011 hell of a way to find out Romo is an over-paid Matt Cassel. You're just realizing this? Maybe Romo should go play for the Colts. That way, they might win one game this season. Quote

Since when does it matter where i'm from to like a team? My Dad and his dad are cowboys fans, and I grew up liking them, and I still like them. So what if the only time i've been in texas was a layover? Quote

The only Packer fan in a Bears fan family. I don't know where I went wrong. Maybe he's just sick in the head. Romo hit his peak years ago. It was all downhill after he dated Jessica Simpson. She must have given him cooties or something. Quote
GTrombly Posted September 14, 2011 Posted September 14, 2011 Wait Romo choked? You would think that it would be considered normal play for him now... 1 Quote

So what if the only time i've been in texas was a layover? I am a Cowboys fan and my brother is a DIEHARD cowboys fan (we took the tour of the new stadium last year, highly recommended even if your not a fan), while my dad is a huge Giants fan (he has a Giants room out in his workshop). All of us grew up in NY. Bro and Pa live in Ohio now and I am in Texas. Quote
Super User BASSclary Posted September 18, 2011 Author Super User Posted September 18, 2011 Redemption. Romo put together a solid 4th quarter and OT for the W. Bruised his ribs before half-time (Ouch, I know how that it. Definately sucks.) Missed the 3 rd Quarter. Came back in the 4th. Dallas D stopped the Whiners. Kablam. Win ! Even if you're not a fan of the cowboys or 49'ers, it was a vary good game, and very suspenseful. Although I am mad that FOX would rather play soccer than football. The game was scheduled for fox, then play it. Not soccer. I had to watch the whole thing on my computer [/mini rant] Quote
Red Posted September 19, 2011 Posted September 19, 2011 Yup, looks like Romo pulled his head out for a bit. Hope he can keep it going. Good game. Quote
tipptruck1 Posted September 19, 2011 Posted September 19, 2011 You have to remember Colin that fox is world wide. They showed soccer because it would get more viewers then football. I am sure people in the Dallas and bay area saw it. Shoot even I think I could have seen it. Can't remember I switched from fox after the packer game. Quote
Super User BASSclary Posted September 19, 2011 Author Super User Posted September 19, 2011 Red: It took me a minute to figure that joke out, but once I did I got a good laugh And tipptruck: I forgot, I didn't get the Packer game, but got the Redskins game so you probably would've got it. Still mad. Why don't they play one on local fox and then one on FX? Quote
tipptruck1 Posted September 19, 2011 Posted September 19, 2011 soccer was on my FSN here. I don't know how many late games fox was covering. But usually I get the cowboys up here if there the late game. Other wise I get the whole NFC east if there late. Other then them games. I get Bears, vikings, Lions, bengals, colts, cheifs. if they are late games. If CBS is covering a game I never see a local team. It has to to a packer game to see a local team. Other wise I am stuck with games that are over 1000 miles away. Quote
