nickw234 Posted July 8, 2009 Posted July 8, 2009 I just picked up some Ex-tube weights but I need a good tube what is the best tube out there? Quote
Super User roadwarrior Posted July 8, 2009 Super User Posted July 8, 2009 I like Mizmo Grandes: http://www.mizmo.com/grandescatalog.html And Micro Munch Tackle El Gordo: http://micromunchjigs.homestead.com/WickedTubes.html For smallmouth, 3 1/2" Gitzits. 8-) Quote
twitchfish Posted July 8, 2009 Posted July 8, 2009 Big fan of the Strike King Bleeding Tube. Don't buy into the whole "bleeding" thing, but they are hefty, thick tubes. I like to soak earplugs with Megastrike and stuff them in the tube for buouyancy on a C-rig and a little extra lovin, and for whatever reason those tubes are easy to stuff. You will burn through some tubes once you start and these seem to last a little longer. Twitch Quote
adclem Posted July 8, 2009 Posted July 8, 2009 I like the Yum tubes really well especially with a Owner Phantom Tube Hook. Later, Quote
BenoBreath Posted July 8, 2009 Posted July 8, 2009 I'm with RW, MicroMunch Wicked Tubes (garlic scented) are awsome ! I also like Nichols 4" Salty Mothers Tubes. GOOD LUCK !! BB Quote

Super User bilgerat Posted July 8, 2009 Super User Posted July 8, 2009 Venom is a good one. When the conditions call for finesse, Strike King's 2.5" Bitsy Tube is a killer. Quote
cabullwinkle Posted July 8, 2009 Posted July 8, 2009 i like the YUM tubes. Nice price, nice action Quote
Tim1980 Posted July 9, 2009 Posted July 9, 2009 Wave worm's tubes are very strong with a lot of different colors. They come in 4 and 3 inch. Quote
aarogb Posted July 9, 2009 Posted July 9, 2009 Strike King Coffee Tubes 4.5 . Awesome baits. x2. Quote

rubba bubba Posted July 9, 2009 Posted July 9, 2009 I'm not brand loyal on tubes but have used a lot of the XPS line as I like their size and there's a particular color of theirs that has always worked well for me. I have some Strike King's Coffee Tubes but other than the scent they don't seem any different than anyone elses tubes (and I prefer to lather up with Megastrike vs. coffee). I have also had good success with Strike King's Bleeding Tubes - they're even bigger than BPS' flippin tubes. Quote
Siebert Outdoors Posted July 9, 2009 Posted July 9, 2009 I've used some Micro munch, BPS flippin tube(one I mostly use), strike king, and chompers(another favorite). I have a nice stock pile so I havent bought any tubes in years. Quote
bass wrangler569 Posted July 9, 2009 Posted July 9, 2009 I use mostly BPS tubes, not so much because I like them as much as I just have a ton of them. For smallmouth 3.5" cabin creek Quote
coontreer Posted July 9, 2009 Posted July 9, 2009 X3 on the venom, but these are my favorites! http://www.hookedupbait.com/ Quote
The Outdoorsman Posted July 9, 2009 Posted July 9, 2009 Lake Fork Tackle Trophy Tubes (if you can still find them) > Prowler tubes. Quote

TommyBass Posted July 9, 2009 Posted July 9, 2009 My opinion is that a tube is a tube is a tube. Most are exactly the same. The main variations are size and softness.. somewhat color. I prefer a little longer tube, around 4.5" or so that is soft but not too soft. I like it to not tear off instatly but I don't like the really stiff ones. Ive had good luck with Coffee tubes (I think the coffee thing is stupid but they are good and soft). Bleeding baits are too hard for my liking. Also did well on YUM, and back in the day when they still made them, one of FLW's. Quote
