I'm not a Colts fan, but I love to watch them play because of Peyton Manning. I hate that his streak is going to end this week, but am so impressed by his attitude. This guy always seems to say the right thing. Here's a quote off of ESPN:

"To say I am disappointed in not being able to play is an understatement. The best part about football is being out there on the field playing with my teammates. It will be tough not to be out there playing for the organization and our fans. I simply am not healthy enough to play, and I am doing everything I can to get my health back. The team will do fine without me, and I know for sure that I will miss them much more than they will miss me."

I hope he's back soon!

It's no small wonder the guy has a bum neck. He's been carrying that team for ten years.

I used to think he was a crybaby also. He would make that "I'm trying to push a brick thru my butthole" face whenever things didn't go his way. I now realize he is such a competitor, and he carries so much of his team, it almost justifies that face. I do respect a lot of what he does off the field, and the contract he just signed was gracious of him. If my children eventually do look up to athletes, he wouldn't be a bad choice as an athlete role model.

Worst QB rating by anyone to ever win a Superbowl.

He may be tough, but he's not too good.

I like watching Manning, best of the 3 Mannings. Every time I see him I reminded of Johnny U without the hightops.

I don't care about the Mannings.

I did see Archie come off the bench in Tiger Stadium to down LSU and that is where Archie got the nickname, Archie Who?

I enjoyed watching Archie with the Saints and thought if he had been surrounded by better personnel he would have done much better.

As for his three boys, I only saw Eli play in college and he was an OK quarterback at Ole Miss. But like his daddy, no personnel around him to win the championships.

Peyton is not a cry baby. He is a quality person, like him or not.

In fact, Olivia raised Cooper, Peyton and Eli to be gentelmen on and off the field.

The Colts were once my team going back to the Jophnny Unitas days and then the Bert Jones era, but when they left Baltimore under the cover of darkness to go to Indy I just lost interest in them.

So give Peytom some slack. He is a great competitor and I am sure he is worried that his neck has not responded to treatment as projected.

P.S. I would not be upset if the Colts lost every game this year. ;)

I used to love Bert Jones, very underrated QB.

Update:

He is out for the season....HORRAY!

I think that is pathetic. A man, another human being just underwent the third surgery on his neck, will miss his work for who knows how long, and you are cheering that???? Dude, you have some serious issues.

Pfft what has this come to seriously guys? all the down votes for my post? Is this real life?. I may think hes a crybaby, but he is a threat. I am a patriots fan, thus, me being happy when the opposing team(who is a THREAT) main player is out.(along with fantasy football to whomever had him as a QB helps me out a bit) I am going to assume the negatives are from Colts fans to whom i say : deal with it, i did with sissy boy brady hurt his foot

All this "boo-hoo" nonsense is for the birds, the only "boo-hooing" that will be done is probably by Colts fans, have fun not making the playoffs

Seriously bro? Thanks for the laughs.

To say hooray to a player being injured and out indefinitely is just plain pathetic. I do not care what team he plays on, I want my team to beat the other team man to man not because of injuries. For example, I am a Capitols fan in hockey, do not like Sidney Crosby but hate to see him going thru the concussion issue. Much rather have the Caps beat him on the ice.

One of these days, you will grow up...hopefully. And your dismissive attitude only reinforces your lack of maturity. And, I am not your 'bro.

WHY ????????????????????????

What you never seen him play? d**n if any little thing doesn't go his way he moaps/whines/cries about it on the field, check him out on the sideline after they don't make a goal. He's known for tossing playbooks.

He always crys for a penalty if someone is 'near' him
