brushhoggin Posted September 6, 2011 Posted September 6, 2011 find a genuine appreciation for their products for reasons that sets them apart from the rest, instead of just jumping on cause everyone else is. abu for life 1 Quote
Super User Grey Wolf Posted September 6, 2011 Super User Posted September 6, 2011 Throw all your non-shimano products in the trash , replace them all with shimano products and send RW a cerified check for 100.00 and he will send you a certicate stating you are a bonafide member of "the posse". 2 Quote

To respect the environment and assure proper recycling, please feel free to send those non-Shimano products to me or Grey Wolf and we'd be pleased to take care of them for you... find a genuine appreciation for their products for reasons that sets them apart from the rest, instead of just jumping on cause everyone else is. abu for life Wise statement indeed. BTW - there are other, less formal "posse's." There are many here that are fans of the other brands. There's even a BPS posse...although that's mostly only me and K_Mac....... Membership is easy - own and appreciate at least one BPS product for it's features and value, AND stand up against the BPS bashers in at least 5 threads.... Quote
Super User slonezp Posted September 7, 2011 Super User Posted September 7, 2011 Why on earth would you want to go and do that? Quote
Super User SirSnookalot Posted September 7, 2011 Super User Posted September 7, 2011 I have some Shimano equipment I like a lot, also some Shimano equipment that I really don't care for. Of the Shimano gear that I do like I own other manufacturers gear that compete toe to toe with Shimano. No posse here, I'm willing to try anything. Quote
Super User K_Mac Posted September 7, 2011 Super User Posted September 7, 2011 Goose like Mark Twain, I generally don't want to be a part of any group that will have me as a member. You are correct that we of the BPS posse are a small but resolute group. Shimano appears to be a little schizophrenic over the last few years in my humble opinion. They seem to be determined to see how quickly they can get through the alphabet... They make fine stuff and if Shimano posse membership makes you happy, ain't that what it is all about? Edit: I was reminded by one of our more erudite members that it was Groucho Marx who didn't want to be a member of any group that would have him. He also is purported to have said, "quote me as saying I was mis-quoted" so I don't guess he would mind. Quote
