Would like to bring to your attention an incident occured during a bass competition held in Italy(details: http://www.sfwc2011.it/eng/index.html). The Russian team was leading the event the first two days and during the third day see what happended to their livewell:

The competition commitee did not accepted the video and the claim since all fish died. Guess who was first after the russian team was disqualified. ITALY!!!! I will revert with further details in due course.

Unfortunately this championship is not regulated by B.A.S.S or FLW so the only option we have is to give this as much publicity we can.

no fair play in this tournament! the italian team wanted to win on their home lake whatever it takes. no angler in his right mind would do such a disgraceful act as poisoning fish in competitors livewells. I have no respect to these people.

SHAME, SHAME, SHAME ON THE ITALIAN TEAM!

the fist two days they could not do anything against the Russian team, who displayed real team work and had a lead of 23 points over italians. the only way for italians to win was to play dirty, I mean disgracefully dirty.

Eventually, Italy won by only half a point (89.5 vs 90) and were happy like children, while all other participants supported the Russia team as true champions (apart from Russia, another two national teams boycotted the official closing ceremony).

Additionally, the last info about FAIR PLAY on this games-

One of Italian bassers, who was one of the judges on the competition, after watching this video notice that fish were kill by poison.

This guy was 3d in the classification on Italian national cup this year and now after his activites like a fair judge his disqulify like a basser in Italian national cup "Like a man, who don`t shows respect to Italian Bass Federation'

How U can accept this?

Stolen victory.

August, 28th - on September, 3rd the World bassfishing championship in Italy has passed. In 2009 the American team has won similar tournament in Mexico. http://www.insideline.net/weeklynews/2009/images/mexico-worldbass/world-bass-championship-2009.htm

During two rounds Russia was in the lead with the big separation from Italy and others. In the third round our boat started and we arrived to a point (it was a hump) in 5 minutes, so we started. We got 4 fishes very quickly and have placed them into livewell. Suddenly a plentiful foam (well visible on video) has gone in a few minutes, and all fish has died within 5 minutes. Our driver never faced such problem before and he said that in his opinion this fish is poisoned. It was confirmed also with organizers of tournament who have arrived into the point in half an hour – they said that it’s look like sabotage. Despite it, our protest has been rejected also a team of Italy has been recognized by the winner of competitions. All our statements were considered as attempt to discredit a team of Italy, but we never said that the Italian team is guilty. We only said that organizers, who couldn't organize safety of our boats are guilty. We mean only it when we said ' Italian team". It's silly to accuse sportsmen who don't have time for such things. But this is doesn't remove a fault from Italy, as organizer. Whoever who has organized it, it is called "the stolen victory". Remember that on our place there could be any command. Don't forget it if you’re want to participate in the Italian tournaments. Check yours livewells before start.
