Super User Catt Posted September 7, 2011 Super User Posted September 7, 2011 Sorry guys but it’s “Fear the Hat” The only things that can be gleaned from week one is some teams are afraid to play quality opponents on opening day while others are not. Bird dog, while LSUs defense and special teams provided the offense with short field situations, the offense still had to go out there and score which they did. Had the receivers not dropped so many passes the final score could have been well over 60. To be a championship caliber team one must have a solid offense, defense and special teams! Quote

Go ahead! I'm not afraid to admit that my team typically starts it's season by beating up on a powderpuff, but by so proudly posting a list that contains Sun Belt Conference and FCS teams, you have clearly demonstrated that you are. I'm just saying that you shouldn't be so quick to call other teams afraid for not scheduling a marquee opponent to start their seasons when LSU has done it exactly one time in recent memory. Quote
shootermcbob Posted September 9, 2011 Posted September 9, 2011 Did anybody watch the Maryland vs Miami game? Were those not the ugliest uniforms you've ever seen? I agree about the Maryland uniforms...horrific. Quote

Yes it is a misdirection ploy , but it does have some validity to it. Quote
Super User Catt Posted September 9, 2011 Super User Posted September 9, 2011 Ohio State’s stated yearly goals; win the Big 10 & play in the Rose Bowl but oddly enough no mention of playing in the BCS Championship. Quote
shootermcbob Posted September 10, 2011 Posted September 10, 2011 That is true. Seemed to be more important to win the big ten and beat michigan. Quote
endless Posted September 10, 2011 Posted September 10, 2011 I know nothing about college football but is Justin Blackmon as good as the highlights have him? The highlights I saw today he looked great. He plays for Oklahoma State Cowboys nad the stats amd high I saw he ended up with 12rec 128yds 10.7avg 29long 2td. Is the boy really good? I don't watch college to know anything. http://espn.go.com/college-football/player/_/id/380077/justin-blackmon Quote

The AKRON'S AND kENT'S BEG OHIO STATE TO SCHEDULE THEM , IT'S THE ONLY BIG PAY-DAY THEY GET AND FACE IT , IT'S ALL ABOUT THE MONEY , REGARDLESS OF WHAT SOME OF YOU BELIEVE. Quote
Super User 00 mod Posted September 10, 2011 Super User Posted September 10, 2011 Arkansas plays Missouri state, New Mexico and Troy to open their season, and each one of them BEGS to play Arkansas. I dont know the exact numbers on all of them, but Missouri State got paid $395,000 to play last week. Thats $98,750 a quarter! PS> even with cream puffs the first 3, Arkansas still has the 20th toughest schedule in all off college football! Quote
