Anybody used these yet? They look pretty good. How much are they in the Academy stores?

I bought a pack of 4 of the hollow bodied swimbaits for less than 5 bucks. I think the action is pretty good. The first couple, I used this trick I read somewhere about trimming the underside of the tail to give it a more realistic action, but then I found out that you don't really need to. Good bait, good deal I think.

I'm talking about are the hard body, jointed swimbaits. I dont think they've been out very long but i could be wrong about that.

I started a thread about this about a week agao. All in all I think they are awesome. I have some, but I have not really had the chance to go fish one of my two fishing lakes. Rayburn or T-bend. But I did try them in a pond that has HEAVY fishing pressure. No takers but the action on them is killer. The 3.5 inch is $7.99 and the 4.5 inch is $8.99. I personally liked them so much, I am going to get every color in both sizes. I did not even think, that is the 3.5" tied on my revo on my picture on the left side of the screen.

First of all Nitro you need to ease up. We all know about swimbaits on here. Take your time when posting, use some correct punctuation and spelling. FBL was asking about a certain type of swimbait, not just swimbaits in general. I think you just misunderstood what was asked. Calm down, read carefully, then post.

wow! you say they're called "swimbaits" huh? Whadda they look like?

Dude, we all know about swimbaits (you'd have to live pretty far off the fishing grid to be unaware of swimbaits), the topic at hand is just a specific kind or brand of swimbait that is new.

Play nice you guys :P

Too bad I don't have Academy anywhere around here.Never even heard of it until I joined this board. Those baits look good along with a few other that people have posted here.

They definitely look pretty nice.

I own a couple of them and have not had the chance to really fish them though. I am new to hard swimbaits. My concern for these is the rear hook. It is in the fin. IMO it just looks like a weak spot that would snap off if hooked into a good one. Like I said I am new to hard swimbaits, there may be a bunch of them with the hook in the same spot. But these baits swim awesome. I am putting them to the test on saturday.

I got a few 3.5 inch swimbaits and there are awesome!! The joints wiggle on the fall and they have really nice action. Im deffiently going to buy more. Its to bad they dont make a 6 or 8 inch one.
