And they DID  When we're searching for A special fish and actually find two of them within moments of each other.. OH MY!

C rigged, Green Pumpkin Rage Eeliminators with the tails tipped in Chartreuse JJ's was the CANDY of Choice and made perfect sense because I found the larger fish sitting close to scattered brush located on the edge of the deep drops  The key to the bite was when the Eeliminator eased over the brush and dropped right on the ledge. I think the seductive swim during the fall was more that they could resist. I try not to argue with the big Mama's after they've told me what they want to EAT most... I just keep servin'em until they've had all they can handle :D

Yep ghoti, ADVANTAGE camo shorts :D Important to match the color patterns to your rod and reel colors for best results... might have to change your shorts when you change rod set-ups. I never do because I use the same rods and reels for everything I fish (I'm old school) I do take an extra pair of shorts in case I catch the biggest fish ever and have a little accident  Can find these special shorts at Wallyworld or online at walmart.com, Never leave home without'em :P

Man, you must have bass thumb every day! Either that or it's calloused up like shoe leather.

My thumbs still get trashed sometimes :D but on the bigger fish, I try to grab them with my forehand inside their mouth and and my thumb under their lower jaw. Easier for me to control the stronger fish beside the boat this way. In the photo of the second one, you'll see my little finger and ring finger are taped on my left hand, they often get raw from battles. That's my standard tape job.

I guess the thumb might get a little wear from photo time too
