What are some proven effective lures for fall? Down here fall is still warm, but not hot so the bassing might still be slow so some suggestions will be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

i like to texas rig a dinger (4-5 in.) and let it sink to the bottom, let it sit five seconds or longer then twitch it 3 times, let it sink back down and repeat.

Bass are more active during fall than summer. That being said, I like to fish square bills, jigs, dropshot, and jerkbaits.

it is still kind of hot here in fall. but anyways are the bass more active on deep diving crainkbaits during fall than summer or do they become more shallow?

I fish the same lures in the spring that I fish with during the summer

I fish the same lures in the summer that I fish with during the fall

I fish the same lures in the fall that I fish with during the winter

I try not to give my lures names like “summer” or “fall”, that way if I should use them in the spring they don’t get confused!

Spinnerbait and jerkbait is all i use. Man i miss bass fishing so much. being here in guam is rough. thought the saltwater would be a good replacement but i was wrong nothing will replace bass fishing for me.

The cooling temps brings the bass and shad back up shallow and it's hard to beat an Xcalibur XR50 in my boat. Squarebills, chatterbaits, buzzbaits, and spinnerbaits get a lot more action than they have all summer long. My favorite fall bait is whatever is working that day though!

I've heard a lot about using spinnerbaits in the fall. I've recently gotten a knack for them. So I'm looking forward to using them this fall.

I'll use the same as I've been using since iceout. 1/2 oz jigs and spinnerbaits in spring and fall (smaller during summer months), tubes, buzzbaits, dog walkers, worms. Hopefully A-Jays set-up he posted on a jig thread. Looks SAHWEET!

The same as I fish the rest of the year, with onl minor variations. I may fish a 1oz spinnerbait instead of a 3/4. I may fish a 3/4oz jig rather than half, or I may fish a 1/4oz over a 3/8. The only lure I use in fall that I don't use during the rest of the year is a top secret jerkbait.
