Fall is closing in...are you guys ready for some fall bass?

As much as I love fishing plastics and topwater in the heat of the summer, I sure love some fall spinnerbaiting as well...I'm ready.

I am!! Last fall was good for me, I don't think I threw anything other than a crank or blade. I caught a lot of fish and some good sized ones too. Looking forward to it. My brother is come in mid October from Ohio to visit. A guided trip on Lake Fork is something I am seriously considering for the two of us.

I’m ready for anything under 100 °F but sadly we have 1 ½ months left of summer ;)

No no no! Once you mention Fall, Winter is just ahead.

I'll stick with Summer thank you.

Cliff,

Jigging spoon, swimbait style soft plastics and C rigs are still hot items on Fork during the Fall months. If the water starts cooling down and for the bigger bites, I work the secondary points and creek channel structure pretty hard. If you hire a guide, he should have all of that figured out for you.

Fat-G, I'm always ready for Fall fishing... but I'm stuck on jigs and/or Soft Plastics year around, it's a bit easier pace for me to handle for an extended stay on the water :) Heck, who am I fooling... that's all I fish :D

I'm always torn between deer hunting and fishing during the fall. I don't know how many times I've been in the boat on a cool morning thinking I should be in the stand or in the stand thinking I should be in the boat. I like the cooler weather but I hate the fact that winter follows fall. I just have to remind myself that spring follows winter B)

Nice bass thumb Brushhoggin! And I'm definately ready for it too! So tired of this Florida heat and humidity. The fall just feels AMAZING here, and it's so comfortable I could fish for hours and hours! Ahhh... Can't wait B)
