Hey Guys,

I just brought my first ever frog, a SPRO Bronzeye pop. Here is my concern, I just open the package and filled my sink up and put the frog in there, within a min or two the back end started to sink. Is this normal? I thought these frogs were suppose to float? I had to squeeze the water out of the frog from where the hooks come out from the bottom. Again, this is my first frog so i'm alittle concern about this. Can someone please shed some light onto this?

Thanks

Joe

Starting to sink after a minute is not a huge concern. If you get one that starts to sink in a few seconds then there is a problem. Of the dozens of Bronzeye Frogs that I've had only one gave me problems with sinking. When it does I just fill the hole with some Mega Strike every 10 or 15 minutes and keep fishing.

That's a great idea fluke thanks for that.

Yeah, they will collect water, but as long as it still sits at the surface, its fine. It will just cause more disturbance in the water with the back end hanging down. I will grab mine after a little while and hold it so that the hole where the hook comes out of is at the bottom, and then squeeze it a couple times to spit the water out.

I'm sure it will produce for you, I know it has for me. :D

@Chris, nice fish and thanks for the advice. I figured that out today when i took it to the pond and after about 7 cast, i did the butt squeeze lol.

@Fluke, thank you for the link.

So anyway, i'm going to the pond tomorrow morning to really put the frog though its paces. If i catch anything i will post it.

Thanks again
