I saw this section and couldnt resist to posting.

I am Leslie and I am fairly new to the Bass angling part of fishing though I have been fishing since I was around 5 years old. I posted a rather long winded intro in the proper section but look forward to hearing from the fellow ladies out there too.

SO

After a turbulent beging to our season... it still sucked! Just before memorial weekend we pulled our boat out of the shed to find a lower end that had ruptured over the winter. (even though I repeatedly though very nicely suggested that the gear oil be changed before winter.... he listened.... noooooooo.....) Well we replaced the case ... though had dismantle the unit.... oh... four times, though it might have been more, to figure out what was missing to get the water pump working properly.... Now we have enough experience with our lower unit, taking it apart and putting it back together, we can rebuild should that ever need to be done in the future! HA

So we get through a glorious vacation and two tournies to be in the middle of the lake to have our motor spin right out of sync... not once but twice! After recovering from that, we still got skunked. But I am determined to learn as much as I can before next season so my husband and I aren't left in the.....wake... again.

I am looking to chatting and learning from all of you!

Welcome Leslie! I too have a longwinded opinion on anything to do with Women Anglers. In fact, I usually have a longwinded opinion on something that I'm either knowledgeable about or when I disagree with something in print. I've never been able to say anything in 10 words or less. I speak & write in volumes!!!

Welcome to the forum Leslie!

Hopefully you guys have all those boat issues fixed by now. That area you guys are from have a number of great bass fishing lakes. Once you've got them patterned, I think you'll see more bass coming into the boat.
