I'm a big fan of the Zoom Fluke just like many others here, but I'm also kind of new to it, and I haven't fished it nearly as long as some of you out there. I've got a few bags, and I would like to hone up my skills with them. Any tips or tactics? Besides a weightless T-Rig, could a split shot be added a few inches up from the bait to add some different motion? Thanks.

I like the splitshot rig when fishing on a muddy or rocky bottom, it gives it a wounded action, I also use them as a jig trailer sometimes due to their tail making so much action. I also like to nose hook a super fluke using a mustad or eagle claw weedless hook.

I rig them on a small keel weighted hook from time to time. My new way to fish them that's been deadly is on a jackal ishad jig head nose hooked. Wacky has worked also but its usually a last ditch effort for me I throw weighless, ishad nose hooked, keel, wacky in that order till I find what they like its usually the first 2 though

Nose rig them on a finesse hook for better hookups.

Try rigging up the double fluke rig. It looks super awesome and when there busting bait fish I am sure it is just deadly.

How do u rig them on a finesse hook and what finesse hook do u use to nose hook em.

Hook the bait through the nose, vertically with the point up. Any drop shot or senko hook will work.

I've been using them the past few trips with a weighted swimbait hook Txposed and using the pull/fall retrieve to simulate dying bait fish. Mostly in the 10-20 depth range where I find schools of bass with my electronics.

They work awesome as like a top water weightless. If you keep jerking it fast enough it will pop its nose out of the water and fish just love it. Or I will throw it over matts with hole and just work it really fast over the top.

My buddy nose rigs the smaller flukes doubled rigged on a UL and when the fish are active he absolutely kills them with it. I watched him catch 4 double headers in one day like that.

Try starting the hook slightly behind the tip on the bottom so the "head" of the fluke sits ontop of the hook instead of the middle like u would normaly. It gives it like a bill if u will to make it surface and jump like a fleeing minnow

Anyone have any luck with the watermelonseed or watermelon/red colors? Or is white just the all-around best??

Clear with silver & black flake or a clear/silver flake belly with pearl back laminate will fool clear water smallmouth occasionally.
