"BRB" Posted August 19, 2011 Posted August 19, 2011 Just like to see what's people thought on the best lake in AR. I fished Greers ferry mainly but I fish Norfork, bull shall, and Dardanelle. I like dardanelle seems like I caught bigger fish but the last couple of times I have been didn't do that great. Quote
"BRB" Posted August 19, 2011 Author Posted August 19, 2011 Ps dardanelle is were I have caught my best bass 5 1/2 lb in my profile pic Quote
Bass XL Posted August 22, 2011 Posted August 22, 2011 Ive only ever fished Norfork and Greers (Fished Bull Shoals, but never the Arkansas side), and I absolutely fell in love with Greers. The big fish are their, you just have to pattern them right. Quote
Packard Posted September 7, 2011 Posted September 7, 2011 I've caught a few 5+ pounders on Lake Hamilton and Lake Quachita Quote

Copen1822 Posted March 25, 2012 Posted March 25, 2012 I mainly fish Greers, but Barnett is a fun little lake if you can avoid the stumps. Quachita can be a blast and is probably the best lake in AR but I haven't figured it out yet. Greers is awesome and insanely aggrevating all at the same time. I love it! Quote
RazorBassin Posted March 27, 2012 Posted March 27, 2012 I like to fish Lake Des Arc, Greers, White River, Arkansas River-Maumelle Pool, Barnett, Lake Conway and absolutely love Ouachita. I fished DeGray for the first time this past weekend and it is a great lake. I really can't say I have a favorite, but I absolutely love to fish Arkansas waters! Quote
WookieeJedi Posted March 27, 2012 Posted March 27, 2012 That's a really tough question! AR has some of my favorite water. Ouachita is great, and you can catch a variety of fish there. There are some huge spotted bass in there too. Greers Ferry is a good one too. Some others I like are Greeson, Bull Shoals, and the Buffalo River. Both Greers and Ouachita are beautiful lakes, too. I have heard a lot of good stuff about Millwood, I might just have to make the trip. Quote
T_Nix35 Posted February 26, 2014 Posted February 26, 2014 Ive only ever fished Norfork and Greers (Fished Bull Shoals, but never the Arkansas side), and I absolutely fell in love with Greers. The big fish are their, you just have to pattern them right. What kind of patterns do you like to fish on Greers? Im fishing a tournament in May and I have never fished it before. I know Smallmouth could be a big factor, so deep jerk baits, tubes, jigs, and deep cranks on points or drop offs leading to shallow water. Or would you rather find the Largemouths and fish them instead? What are your opinions? Any favorite colors? Any info will be much appreciated. Thanks, TCN Quote
TorqueConverter Posted February 26, 2014 Posted February 26, 2014 Beaver has some killer spotted bass action. I was slaying 3-4 pound spots on topwater. They were all the same size and all over the lake as if they were from the same hatch. I'm thinking Beaver has the makings of the #1 spotted bass destination in the Country. Quote
