Well I went out to one of my honey holes last night only caught 2 bass sadly. The total count was 1 huge crappie 2 bass and maybe 20 pike I lost count of them toothy buggers. I called my boss from work he came out and jumped in the canoe to get in on the action sense he loves pike he kept a few. The bass came on a black with blue flake space monkey on a 1/4oz tungsten weight. Crappie came on a 9/16oz booyah spinner and the pike attacked everything that touched the water including the rage which got expensive. Well here's some pics enjoy

WTG Clayton... and getting a friend in on that type of action is great! I'm a fan of the Toothy bite as well ;) wished I had nearby waters here in Tx with those in abundance!

Nice Clayton. Glad to see you getting out since the new born, born the way how is he? How many trips does that make now? Live it up!! I got out today myself. Still no pickerel on the year for me, two bowfins though. Keep at it, hows the Citica working for you? What rod you place it on?

Babys doing great he's getting fat put on 1.1lbs sense we brought him home he's a boob man lol. Iv actually gotten out quite a bit sense he's been born I went everyday on my way home from the hospital for the first week. I'm gonna try to get out tonight as well if the rain let's up a little.

The citica I put it on an old tec spec I had I love it u can see it in the background of the one pike pic. I caught 2 pike and 1 bass on it yesterday. I def need a better rod for it though I use it for trigged craws and such just flipping ind pitching mostly and that tec spec is a 6'8 with a broke tip and its a MF so not the best for what I use it for but I'm in a pinch and making it work

God I hate pike. They destroy my favorite swimbaits, bite off my lucky crafts, and don't even taste great. I even go to fishing for them exclusively in my honey hole and relocate them to the beach.:P

nice man yeah me too - we get hella pickerel around here which are the absolute worst of that family of fish but I'd like to go somewhere and get into some monster pike or musky too - they look like they get huge!

So do you use a wire leader when you're in pike waters?
