Super User BASSclary Posted August 18, 2011 Super User Posted August 18, 2011 LOL. I know what you mean. I used to casually play paintball and hard-core mil-sim airsoft. Talk about expensive! Quote
Super User Lund Explorer Posted August 18, 2011 Super User Posted August 18, 2011 Fortunately, there are several groups that will sponsor your desire to play shoot'em up. Here's a link to one of them! http://www.marines.com/?WT.srch=1&WT.mc_id=G_MARINE_RECRUITMENT#default 1 Quote
Super User clayton86 Posted August 18, 2011 Super User Posted August 18, 2011 Howed I know this thread was about paintball hahaha. I haven't played in 4 years. When I quit I was at my prime I made it to a pro team playing xball I had more gats then I knew what to do with. I want to start again but can't bring myself to drop the coin especially after some of the guns I had(free flow cockers shockers and matrixs, tippman effect 98,dm9, sp shockers, hybrid shockers) check out rochester rhythm, broklyn style, sodus precision on you tube them are all teams iv played for ryhthm is the old prol nppl team lockout with some new members mitch and rob were actually the only original old guys. I went to north carolina and tried out for trauma as well but just missed the cut but was awsome playing the greats like chris lasoya he signed my dm9 which I sold for buco money. Here's a pic of some of my guns I just dug up Quote
Super User Gatorbassman Posted August 18, 2011 Super User Posted August 18, 2011 I used to be on a team several years ago and I almost went broke. I have since sold all my stuff and sticking to fishing. Quote
Super User clayton86 Posted August 18, 2011 Super User Posted August 18, 2011 we used to just have to pay for practice paint at 40 a case. Hotels, entry, airfare, gear was all free and we bought our guns for what the shop got em at exept our free flows were free. It still got expensive because when not in a tournament or practicing we were usually at the field rec balling it or sandbaging local tournaments. Quote
Super User clayton86 Posted August 18, 2011 Super User Posted August 18, 2011 Here's a few from back in the day I'm the one with a shaved head in the middle Quote
tipptruck1 Posted August 18, 2011 Posted August 18, 2011 I only play in the woods. Paintball was never really that costly to me. Other then in marker and what not to get started. In all I think I have over 300 dollars in a tippmann 98. I will post a picture later. The cost of paintball as always been cheap for me. I have only ever paid about 5 times to play at a park. My friends all own acres out in the country. I buy 40 dollar cases of paint. I usually shoot about 500-1000 rounds a day. So a case can last me a long time. My dad bought a co2 tank. I have always filled my own co2 tanks. The bait money and paintball monkey have nothing on the tool and car part monkey. Fishing and paintball are the cheapest hobbies I have. Quote
