LAURASDAD Posted August 15, 2011 Posted August 15, 2011 Hello, I know this has been discussed, but a mgr at cabelas gave me different info. Are the extra weights just that, or are they a different weight then the ones included? Quote
The Rooster Posted August 15, 2011 Posted August 15, 2011 They are different. There was just a topic here a week or so ago about it. Can't remember exactly what color was what, but I know there are 2 weights. One is for lighter baits and the other is for heavier baits. Quote
Super User J Francho Posted August 15, 2011 Super User Posted August 15, 2011 It's in the directions and on their FAQ: http://fish.shimano.com/publish/content/global_fish/en/us/index/customer_service0/FAQ.html Why are there more than one color of break weights for my Baitcasting VBS system? Shimano makes two different break weights; Heavy (Black, Grey, or Green in color) and Light (Red, Blue, and Clear in color). Most of the new reels are shipped with the light break weights on the reel, and the heavy break weights in packaging in the box. If the light break weights don’t provide adequate spool stopping power, change them simply by pulling them off of the spool and replace them with the heavier weights. Quote
Super User Dwight Hottle Posted August 15, 2011 Super User Posted August 15, 2011 The lighter colored weights weigh the least & the darker colors weigh the most. Quote
