ShadeyBass Posted August 15, 2011 Posted August 15, 2011 I fish this spot alot. I catch any where from 1-2 to 4-5lb bass. its easy to get to take royal palm blvd north till it turns into orange, then you will turn onto 120th ave n. go till you hit the second speed bump and fish every thing on the right it a big lake with lots of openings and tons of lilly pads. topwater baits such as spooks or frogs work the best. try it out if your in the area they hit the most on a free weight worm, one that it usually brown with a green tip to it. hope that helps any one out in that area. im going to try the spot next to bank atlantic on okeechobee road and sansbury . let you guys know if i get any thing. Diggy Posted September 11, 2011 Posted September 11, 2011 I didn't get any bites except for the bat sized mosquitos that felt like a doctors needle. Quote
Flangler Posted September 11, 2011 Posted September 11, 2011 Try Behind the Target at Okeechobee and 441. Has great weedlines and lots of bass. Have caught many 3lbers out of there. Quote
Diggy Posted September 13, 2011 Posted September 13, 2011 Try Behind the Target at Okeechobee and 441. Has great weedlines and lots of bass. Have caught many 3lbers out of there. woooo! Will try that tomorrow Quote
Flangler Posted September 13, 2011 Posted September 13, 2011 The first few times I went there I caught few fish and they were small. However I have caught big boys in there. Fish deep and slow. There's a point you can fish from that yields nice fish. Fish the end nearest to O. If you can walk the other side its nice there to. There are some flats in the middle if you can see them or even reach them. Quote
Diggy Posted September 13, 2011 Posted September 13, 2011 I went there today, hit a donut but I fished the target side and down.....I saw the area that you are talking about from near that spot with the sand bags. I may go back later today or tomorrow and see what happens. Quote
Flangler Posted September 13, 2011 Posted September 13, 2011 Its hit or miss there. They are there! Maybe we can meet up sometime and fish. I'm going out tomorrow to Lake Osborne on my boat. Quote
