Aquariums

Does anyone here have an aquarium or aquariums? If so what size, and what is your setup, like species, plants, etc. I currently have two 10 Gals set up in a native scenario. One has a pet crawfish and the other has a blind bluegill (he went blind right after I got him, I'm not totally sure why) . And I plan on getting a 75 in the near future. Probably just gonna stock it with either crappies or bluegills, or some other form of panfish. Largemouth Bass, while they're amazing and beautiful to look at, putting them in anything below 200 gallons is just torture to a fish which requires so much room and freedom. Anyways, please share your thoughts and let me know what you think!

I used to have 2 one was a 46gal bow front that had a gar pike and 2 oscars. The 2nd tank was a 75gal that had a lmb in it my wife and son named bassy. I got rid of both tanks kinda regrete it but don't at the same time there cool and a PITA at the same time especialy oscars there messy. I got a killer deal when I sold them though I got 400 for the bow front I paid 150 and the 75 I paid 200 for and traded for a brand new remington 1100 20ga.

UPDATE: Just got back from the lake, went fishing with a friend. Only caught a green sunny and a small crappie on live minnows, but caught a 1 3/4 in baby bluegill. Put him in my 10 gallon, hopefully he'll adjust. I really prefer native aquariums over these "mainstream" ones that most people have with goldfish and tropical fish. It's so much cooler to observe the fish that came from your own back yard so to speak.

I've been looking into getting a native aquarium started also. Was going to start small and get a bunch of native minnows and baitfish started to see how it goes (I think a stream tank would be awesome!). A small outdoor shop near me has a native tank with a couple crappie, bluegill and a little catfish of some sort (no idea what species, it's about 7 inches long), anyway, those bluegills are a messy bunch.

native tanks rule. i have 2 pumpkinseeds, a bluegill and a redbreast sunfish in mine. i'd never get a tropical tank.

Nate, look into Eneacanthus spp. and Cheatodon sp. They are dwarf and pygmy sunfish, and are VERY cool. You should have no problem keeping them in a 30 gal. tank, and they're all over the northeast, if you know where to look.
