So the depth finder that came with the boat has been great until now. X51 Lowrance with speed and distance and temp...oh yeah and depth both on a gray line chart and a digital number above the temp....presently will not show a correct digital read out. Any ideas?

That is correct...so I assume that the transducer is still ok...also other than the number, it is accurate and therefore still useable...Oh yeah...the field shown has to be preset and will not shift automatically...I've been able to function on 15' nicely.

Try a hard reset, this will restore all settings to factory defaults.

1. Turn the unit OFF

2. Press and hold the UP arrow key.

3. Press and hold the PWR key.

4. Production test mode will appear.

5. Press clear 5 times and you will see System Info Screen

6. Press MENU/DOWN and the unit will shut off

Well I went out yesterday and there was no change....I am wondering if a total factory rebuild is possible...
