dhami013 Posted August 11, 2011 Posted August 11, 2011 Picked up a pack yesterday, seeing if anyone has had any luck on them if so, how do you rig them and how do you fish them? I'm going out tonight to see if I can get any luck on a tricky pond nearby. Quote
Midnight Splash2 Posted August 11, 2011 Posted August 11, 2011 Rig the hook inline with the tail. You can T-Rig, C-Rig, or use as a jig trailer. If you rig the hook with the tail flat you will lose action. Quote

This! The only time I would rig the tail flat, is with a keel weighted hook. With a keel weighted hook, I was casting it and letting it fall to the bottom. I would rip it from the bottom, and then let it fall again. When falling with the tail rigged flat on a (1/4) keel hook, the tail would quiver and the body would shimmy side to side on the fall. It has enticed more than a few bites for me during the spring, hopefully it will do the same come fall. Quote
dhami013 Posted August 12, 2011 Author Posted August 12, 2011 I fished it yesterday in line with the tail with a 3/8 not a single bite. But the spot I fished is tough so I don't discount them yet. Quote
