Today at work I had to grab one of my movers and go to our other school and help them woth rolling sod. Man soon as we got there we were like WTH this is not our job it looked like a B to do we had to roll a 60x60 area by hand and cut it all by hand. Honestly it wasn't that bad other then all the mud caked onto my sneakers we made it fun throwing worms and mud balls at eachother blasting the radio. The down side is we finished befor lunch and now got nothing to do till 230 looks like a long leasurly drive back to punch out taking the back roads alonf lake ontario looking for some new fishing spots.

Yeah I found most of em from guys at work and doing deliveries to all the schools. All the old timers here at work carry fishing poles in there work trucks to fish when were told "this is all u have to do today make it last" with a wink wich in summer crew terms that means take the long route and don't be seen. Everyone in maintance here fishes like everyday but there not to big into bass they all trout, walleye, perch fish iv converted johnny from walleye to bass though he caught his first smallie on a jig last weekend and he hasn't looked back sense.

I rather lay down sod than take it up. When I use to work for this landscaping company we had to try remove the grass with shovels trying to save the roots, roll them up place on truck when we either landscaping, playground, patios, whatever. Sad part they have a machine that cuts the grass in sheets and would make job easier but no cost to much to rent I guess. We used that one time while I was there. Working for that company every thing was done by hand and hard labor. Removing stomps forget a stomp grinder. Ax, shovels, and digging bar. We literally had to dig out the roots and all. All this for $8 an hour plus force to work overtime with no time and half or find another job. He claims seasonal doesn't have to pay overtime. I think I work there for over 3 months till I had enough. Didn't matter to him what you knew or how much you knew he payed starting off $8 an hour. I got one raise while there.

Yeah we were picking it up idk if were laying it. There extending the parking lot at one of our schools called the acadamy its for handicapped kids and trouble kids. So we rolled the 60x60 lot using just a machete and out bare hands. There suposed to be taking the sod and topsoil to build a playground. We were having races who cold roll there lane the fastest it turned out bad in the sense that rolling 6ft of sod weights like 80lbs and is a B to try and pick up haha. At leas for justin who's all of 120lbs I think some of our rolls weighed more then him he had a heck of a time trying to pick em up and carry them to the pallet
