Abu4life Posted August 9, 2011 Posted August 9, 2011 I was just sitting at work thinking about how we all strive to gain the advantage over those weary bass and the new baits that I personally have picked up this season and new ways to use them. I browse tackle warehouse (more than my fair share over the week...) and look at all the thousands of options they offer and the mixed reviews... Just wondering, what have you guys picked up this season that puts an extra bullet in the chamber when your on the lake? Heres my list of new gear that I am using this season that have really helped me out! 1. Power Team Conviction Craws 4.5 " 2. Berkley Havoc Bobbly Lane Fatty Craw 3. Roboworm Pitchin Kraw (prefferably Aarons Magic Color) 4. JJ's Magic 5. Roboworm Strail Tail Worm 6. e2 Shakey Head Hooks 7. G.Loomis NRX casting and spinning rods. 9. Koppers live target frogs. Chaz Hickcox Posted August 9, 2011 Posted August 9, 2011 This year I really got down and dirty with frogs after my first win of the year using them exclusively. I've always used them, but I have really gotten to the point where I can use them to make something from nothing. The rest of the list are new things that have found a place in my tackle box. ZMan Original Chatterbait XCalibur XCS100 SB RI Skinny Dipper e2 Heavy Cover Jig RI Sweet Beaver AG Veritas Rod WM Teserra Rod AG 5500c3 Round Baitcaster (Awesome reel by the way, line cap is nuts!) JJK Posted August 10, 2011 Posted August 10, 2011 Just getting back into freshwater this summer. I’ve been out3 or 4 times a week and love it. 1. 12ft Radisson one man canoe – 30lb trollingmotor. The canoe is only 35lbs and comfortable. 2. Kelly worms – Black and yellow weedless pre rigged. These are killing them.Very durable bait. Easily catch 10 bass before they start to wear out. 3. Weightless flukes and Gulp minnows. 4. braided line – who knew you could yank bass outof 20 yards of thick pads! 5. Frogs – Caught my first ever topwater bass (3)on one just today (along with a 3ft snake!) JJK Quote

Sorry about your lost on that one! I have been working hard to save money and have honestly not bought many new toys. I'd say the only ones I can think of are the Havoc Pit Boss and soft plastic swimbaits. Quote
Primus Posted August 11, 2011 Posted August 11, 2011 The bad part for me is Matt's not selling any right now, from what I understand he's updating his hard bait line. This bait swam beautifully and bass in my area gave it the thumbs up. I hope he includes Perch baits when his new stuff comes out. Quote
endless Posted August 11, 2011 Posted August 11, 2011 Just got back from Green Top (local) and just picked up Deps Basirisky hard belly soft crawler Night Head in size 70(type of hollow body frog), a Spro Bronzeye Frog65 in Midnight Walker, a pack of Damiki Baits PAC Finesse Miki- 6.5" June bug( http://www.damiki.com ), and a pack of Daves finesse wacky jig in 1/16. I've been wanting to try the Damiki baits for a while now so I went ahead and pick up a pack. Green Top sells them. This will also be the first for trying a wacky jig, Deps soft crawler, and a Midnight Walker. Quote
