drop-shot fool Posted August 9, 2011 Posted August 9, 2011 I am wondering if i would be better suited for the 7.6 mh or the 7.7 medium. The lakes i fish do not have any kind of vegetation. The rod will mainly be used for pitching docks, laydowns and chunck rock banks. I always use 15 to 20lb flouro cause the lakes are clear as well. So I dont want a "broom stick", just something with enough power to pull 4-6 pounders out of cover and not snap 15-20 lb flouro on hook sets. Quote
Bass_Fanatic Posted August 9, 2011 Posted August 9, 2011 I would still opt for the 7'6" MH. You can never have enough power IMO, and that rod shouldnt be a broomstick. Quote
Fat-G Posted August 9, 2011 Posted August 9, 2011 7'6 MH fo sho. That will be a good football rod as well. Quote
