The final tournament(before the championship) on the LBAA tour this year is on Old Hickory August 25&26th. There will also be a benefit tx on the 27th.

I've never fished this lake, but this yr has been full of new experiences. It's been a blast getting to fish all these new places. I'm currently sitting in 10th place.

I'm lookin forward to seeing all the gals again, it is such a great bunch to fish with!!!!

If you're close to Nashville come on down to weigh-ins to be held at Flippers!

I hate to see it end for the year.....championship is on KY Lake, Oct 6,7 and 8th. The top 20 Pro's and top 20 Co's plus one wildcard from each will be fishing that....Ky Lake can be VERY tough that time of the year.

I'll see ya there!

Glenn and I will be at both the take-off and weigh-ins, Old Hickory fishes

much like Kentucky Lake this time of year: ledges. Numbers, not size is probably

the ticket. A good day is probably 10-15 bass, 2-3 lbs. If you can mix in a couple

of 4s and 5s, that will be the winning combination.

Good luck!

I'm ready to go. It's been 3 years since I was able to fish with the ladies. In 2008 at Clarks Hill, I was fortunate enough to get a boat and go as a boater. This year I’m going, but from the back of the boat. I have to say I’m happy we get to go fish and show our sponsors off.

It’s time to fish ladies. :D

Pam Martin Wells won on the "pro" side, which Deb placed 23rd out of 25 "pros". Sarah Davis won on the "co-angler" side, which Keri placed 16th out of 25 "co-anglers".

Fishing was extremely tough - the dog days of summer. Lots of small fish, very few keepers - and a ton of very skinny fish...a 14" fish didn't even weigh a pound! It was 100 degrees yesterday, 92 today. One lady fished while passing kidney stones - literally laying down on the front of the deck while operating the trolling motor with her hands all day so her co-angler could still fish. The reason? "My co-angler paid $300 to fish in this tournament. I am NOT letting her down!"

If anybody claims these women aren't as tough as the men, they're on crack!

Deb should have had this one in the bag ..... unfortunately, with battery trouble the first day and getting heat exhaustion and cutting the second day short, it wasn't to be ....

We didn't hear about the battery problem. Secret and I talked to Deb late on the water late Thursday but she never mentioned it. Dang Deb heat exhaustion and battery problems......way too much going on to have a good fishing trip.

This was a first for me. Excitement and anticipation filled the air as the ladies

prepared to launch. Staging in the dark, the armada was an impressive array of

bass boats on display. Two women to a boat and they were stoked!

Once the anglers were off, Glenn and I put in and fished the morning and early

afternoon. Weigh-in was at 2:00, so we were off the water early to watch the

gang return. We chatted with Greg Warner (R520dvx) while he prepared to receive

fish. It's quite a process and the Tournament Directors did a great job!

Both our "girls" weighed fish! The fishing was tough and not everyone was

fortunate enough to bring fish to the scale. Day two was shaping up as a

wide opened event.

The second morning was much the same, but the ladies seemed even more focused,

if that's possible. Launch went smoothly and we all returned for the afternoon

festivities. Deb qualified for the LBAA Championship and Keri was able to find

a keeper at the very last minute.

All and all, a great time. If you can make it to Kentucky Lake for the

LBAA Championship, October 6-8. I hope to see you there!

She jumped off the trolling motor batteries all day on Thursday .... enough to rattle concentration and deminish her confidence in fishing all the places she wanted to

Great post and many thanks for the awesome photographs. I wish I could compete, but I plan on it in the future.
