I've been excited since Feb. 1st :lol: . We just got a 10 acre pond drained and are planting brown top millet and corn in it and planting soybeans in a field and are going to flood them for the 1st time this year. Should be fun. We kill a ton of ducks, but they are 80% Gadwalls, so flooded fields should add some more species in there for us.

i have been excited since the season closed counting down the days till opening day of early goose and teal season then have to wait again till regular season

I've been noticing a ton of wood ducks this summer. I'd love to get a drake wood duck mounted, they're such a cool looking duck :D . I got permission to hunt some wheat fields this year too. The land owner said he lost an entire field to the snow geese and canadians last year and wants me to shoot as many as I can. Already seeing good numbers of ducks and geese on the rivers too.
