atrocity123 Posted July 31, 2011 Posted July 31, 2011 Haven't been to Lox since late March, when the water was ridiculously low and the gators and mudfish were rampant. Word on the street was that the water was way up, so I decided to fish Lox on Monday. Water is definitely up and most spots are fishable, was able to get in and out of the flats but not able to find any fish. Was the only boat there and was still only able to manage 1 measly bass, hopefully it'll pick up soon! Enjoy the video: Quote
GLADES Posted August 1, 2011 Posted August 1, 2011 Nice video. Very professional. With the water up, the bass have probably dispersed deeper into the grass. Quote
gar-tracker Posted August 1, 2011 Posted August 1, 2011 Very cool video, you should see someone about that nervous tick you got going there. Quote
shallow thinker Posted August 1, 2011 Posted August 1, 2011 Mike and I fished Saturday morning. Like this post, we struggled out on our favorite flats and shorelines. Around 9:30 we moved to the canal and started whacking them on big worms. This was the biggest and I lost one over 4lbs. Quote

Definately the biggest bass I've laid my hands on this year. We did a pretty decent job making lemonade from lemons, I think. The bite definately was tough on the flats. Maybe it has improved with the rain, recently??? Quote
bocabasser Posted August 10, 2011 Posted August 10, 2011 right on! big worms are the way when it gets hot and slow. snakes are really working right now. Quote
