eagles Posted July 29, 2011 Posted July 29, 2011 Hello everyone, I am a 16 year old angler from Northeastern PA and I fish about twice a week with my father. We have a 1980 Gamerfisher that we restored and now looks like a 2000. It's a fiberglass tri-hull that we use all the time. I love to use baitcasters and so does my dad but we both always have 1-2 spinning reels on deck as well. My favorite bait co. is Zoom Baits and every big fish I've ever caught has been caught on a Zoom bait or a jointed Rapala. My 2 favorite combos are: 1) 7' 1 pc ML St. Crioux Triumph Rod with a SHIMANO Sedona reel spooled with 30lb braid (8lb diameter) and 2) 6'6" M Field and Stream Verado IM7 baitcaster spooled with 12lb mono. With those two rod/reel combos I can usually adjust to any technique needed whether it be flipping to heavy pads and cover or drop shotting a finesse worm in clear water. I know a lot about bass fishing, especially for my age and I use it to my advantage to find the most bass in a short amount of time. Regardless, I am looking forward to getting to know many of you and sharing ideas with each other. Happy Fishing. Quote
