Bassfisherman94 Posted July 27, 2011 Posted July 27, 2011 I fish tournaments from 6pm to 10pm every Friday night. I always stop and go in at around 9:15 when it really starts to get dark enough you can't see much, and I also lose faith in trying to catch bass at night. Alot of the guys I fish with stay out until 10 and I am always wondering what their throwing. So what do you throw at night in the dead of summer?? Any help would be great! Thanks! Quote
North Ga Hillbilly Posted July 27, 2011 Posted July 27, 2011 Big ol buzz baits can really be productive at night. In theory black or black and blue should be best, but then again sometimes its less about color and more about sound. I personally believe the sound has more of an effect. Ive landed a few nice ones this summer, several after midnight. NGaHB Quote
Oscar O. Posted July 27, 2011 Posted July 27, 2011 Baits that can cause a disturbance/displace a lot of water in or on top of the water, and/or make noise in order to draw a nearby bass' attention. Like previously stated a large buzzbait is a great option and is a very popular choice. I believe that black is considered the best color because it gives the best silhouette when the moon is out to provide some light. Buzzbaits also allow you to cover water quickly, helping you find those active fish that are looking for a meal. Quote
