eastkybass Posted February 21, 2007 Posted February 21, 2007 I use jigs and spinnerbaits. I start about 3/8 th and work my way up, but this year I am going to try and go with some lighter weight and see if there is any difference. Quote
Super User Catt Posted February 21, 2007 Super User Posted February 21, 2007 I pitch with the same baits I cast with I cast with the same baits I flip with There is no difference Quote

Any way what Catt said X2. Ronnie Quote

rocknfish9001 Posted February 21, 2007 Posted February 21, 2007 Jigs and plastics, usually 1/4oz. i dont go over 1/2 oz. and can go as low as 3/16 oz. I pitch spinnerbaits too, and that has been a pretty good presentation. Quote
Supermat Posted February 21, 2007 Posted February 21, 2007 My favorite bait to pitch and flip is the Reaction Innovations Sweet Beaver or the *** Beaver Craws. They tend to slip through heavy cover better than other baits as there aren't any long appendages to hang up. Quote
Siebert Outdoors Posted February 21, 2007 Posted February 21, 2007 I pitch them all, but my favorites I would have to go with a jig or tube. Pitching cranks or jerkbaits you got to pay attention or you could find yourself in a sticky situation. Quote
Deuceu72 Posted February 21, 2007 Posted February 21, 2007 I'm kinda with the rest as far as pitchin what you cast etc...............But I love to pitch a brush hog........... ;D ;D ;D Quote
jdw174 Posted February 22, 2007 Posted February 22, 2007 I pitch just about everything. Seldom go above a 1/2oz size. Quote
Al Wolbach Posted February 22, 2007 Posted February 22, 2007 I like to pitch jigs and soft plastics. I use the lightest weight that the wind and water depth will allow. Normally 1/4 oz, occasionally 3/8 and very rarely 1/2 oz.........Al Quote
hi_steel_basser Posted February 23, 2007 Posted February 23, 2007 If you start at 3/8, you are missing alot of fish that just don't want anything that fast. I start at 3/8 and work my way down. If the light weights arent working, then I'll go up. Quote
CJ Posted February 23, 2007 Posted February 23, 2007 I like a 3/16-1/4 oz.on a t-rigged Gene Larew Hoo Daddy Jr.It falls slow. And ofcourse...I like a jig 1/4 oz.-1/2oz.I usually think of pitchin' as a shallow water technique, though I probally have pitched around some deep stuff.I bet everybody don't think of it that way.
