lsufan334 Posted July 26, 2011 Posted July 26, 2011 OK guys I am looking for a new square bill rod. Would like to keep under $175 I plan on throwing kvd 1.5 & 2.5 and H2O shallow and medium cranks. I will be using a pro qualifier 6.4:1 and fishing 15lb flouro. This will be my shallow water up close and personal squarebill set-up so I dont want a really whippy rod. lmk your ideas. Thanks Quote
Super User J Francho Posted July 26, 2011 Super User Posted July 26, 2011 Avid AVC68MXF. Also works well with spinner baits, traps, spooks, suspending rip baits, even light t-rigs. Quote
CKFishin Posted July 26, 2011 Posted July 26, 2011 I use the St Croix MBGC74MM Mojo Bass... I really like it for the price.. I acctually use it just like your saying but replaced my PQ with a curado 200E5 Quote

I agree, I have this rod and it is a beast. Also makes a great spinnerbait rod. I have also been known to use it with a hollow body frog for accurate casts up in the trash. Quote
