Super User Sam Posted July 25, 2011 Super User Posted July 25, 2011 1. Finesse worm. 2. Go to Lowes or Home Depot and get some small nails or screws for the worm's head as the bass will throw the worms and nails when hooked. 3. Use some shrink tape about 1.5 to 2 inches from the worm's head to secure your hook. Holds hook onto worm better although you may lose the worm anyway. 4. Get ready for some snags. 5. Fish them Texas style. Have fun. Quote
Super User clayton86 Posted July 25, 2011 Super User Posted July 25, 2011 Why not the jackall flick shake worm Quote

Coonedawg Posted July 25, 2011 Posted July 25, 2011 I prefer the Jackall Flickshake worm over all other types of worms that I have tried. I have experimented with a variety of other baits on the flick shake jig head and haven't found one yet that will outperform the Jackall worm on a consistent basis. The fish pictured below fell victim to a Jackall flick shake worm on the Jackall jig head in 18 ft of water, I was working the bait about 9 to 10ft down in the water column. Best lure for suspended fish I have ever used. As a side note, a Zoom fluke, the flat-sided one, is deadly wacky rigged on the Jackall jig head. Quote

rowyourboat Posted July 25, 2011 Author Posted July 25, 2011 so when you fish this - you just cast it out, let it sink then drag and shake occasionally???? im clueless haha. also, where would you use this??? im thinking the same places you would a senko type lure?? or maybe somewhere with a solid bottom??? sorry for all the questions, its just that this is really interesting me for some reason and im clueless.... One might have had some, but I was out. 1/4" and 3/8" covers most brands of worms. If you order online, you can even find clear. Quote

Let it sink, then pop it, sink, than pop it. The strike will most likely happen on the fall so keep a somewhat tight line as it falls. Quote
Scorcher214 Posted July 26, 2011 Posted July 26, 2011 Ya, when it is falling, shake the rod tip good. Has anybody tried a trick worm with this yet? I have some but always used the jackall worms. Quote
herruberraschen Posted July 27, 2011 Posted July 27, 2011 Where would one find clear heat shrink? Quote
Super User Sam Posted July 27, 2011 Super User Posted July 27, 2011 Google Clear Heat Shrink Tubing or go to a local hardware store and find out if they carry it. Quote
Super User Sam Posted July 27, 2011 Super User Posted July 27, 2011 Hey guys, I made a big mistake. I use the Jackall worms on the Neko Rig and that is what I was discussion. As for the Flick Shake, I use Jackall worms wacky rigged. Sorry for the confusion but at least we found out you can get clear shrink wrap which we need to thank "J" for the information. Since I fish as much structure as I can, I usually use the Flick Shake in lakes and not rivers as I lose so many jig heads it can get expensive. Quote
