unhbass37 Posted July 25, 2011 Posted July 25, 2011 Anyone fish there? Thinking of giving it a try? Any smallies in there? Quote
KlubbaT Posted July 25, 2011 Posted July 25, 2011 I went camping a few times there and fished from shore. Did catch some smallies at night but they were small. Sure you could do much better there on a boat. Plan on bringing mine there at some point this year. Quote
Super User webertime Posted July 25, 2011 Super User Posted July 25, 2011 Lots of Pickerel and some nice LM as well. definitly try to do the boat thing, the shoreline gets pounded by people. Quote

Nashua Nev Posted July 27, 2011 Posted July 27, 2011 I havent been there in a few years but i always had good luck there especially as darkness falls. i have mostly fished from the boat dock going left all along the shore and followed it around the corner a few hundred feet up and thru and around the weeds and rocks. Never needed to go any further. We always caught fish there and never explored the rest of the lake. most of the time we were fishing from a canoe or small boat with trolling motor. top water largemouth after the sun went down and it got dark. Nixstyx Posted July 27, 2011 Posted July 27, 2011 Like others have said, I've had some luck around sunset there. There's a fair amount of boat traffic, which makes them a bit shy during most of the day. I did catch one smallmouth there once. It was near one of the islands in the southwest corner of the lake. Off one side of the island there was a rock shelf about 3-4 feet deep that dropped vertically into about 15-20 feet of water. Caught it dragging a c-rigged lizard along the vertical wall. Quote
