A One piece rod I'm guessing as well and for any particular use? Quote

Field and Stream TechSpec or an Ugly Stik Lite is tough to beat as a cheap rod. Quote
bx.versatile Posted July 21, 2011 Posted July 21, 2011 Shimano Convergence updated to IM-7 blank and has lifetime warranty. Since it is the new rods, not sure how long before we see them. *** says 7/23: http://www.***.com/Shimano_Convergence_Casting_Rods/descpage-CVC.html Quote
via Posted July 21, 2011 Posted July 21, 2011 you should check out the fishing flea market here because there are some people who sell some good baitcast rods for a very good price. Quote
Super User KYntucky Warmouth Posted July 21, 2011 Super User Posted July 21, 2011 I'd say Field & Stream Tech Spec or a Berkley Lightening Rod. Quote
Bass Junkie Posted July 21, 2011 Posted July 21, 2011 Ya'll are missin' it! Field and Stream Angler Series. Beats the Tech-Specs and rods all the way up to St. Croix Mojos. For sub-$100 rods these are the best I've found. Quote
catch anything Posted July 21, 2011 Author Posted July 21, 2011 thanks defintly check them out...the only real particular uses would probally be jigs and worms Quote
Punkinseedfyretailz Posted July 21, 2011 Posted July 21, 2011 go to dicks and check out the field and stream rods. nice looking and right in your price range Quote
ChiCityBasser Posted July 22, 2011 Posted July 22, 2011 I agree you should check out the Field & Stream Tec Spec line at Dick's. I have the Tec Spec 7' MH/F spinning model Tube/Rigging rod and it is a great rod at the price point. It's one of my go to rods and I've used it for T-rigs, frogs, poppers, lipless cranks and jigs. It has performed great and is light and sensitive. I have a couple of flukes tied on now and it cast them great. Sure one of the casting models will fit you just fine. Quote
Punkinseedfyretailz Posted July 22, 2011 Posted July 22, 2011 yeah i don't own one yet. but soon enough i will gather a few. decided to get the more pricey ones out of the way first Quote
catch anything Posted July 22, 2011 Author Posted July 22, 2011 thanks for the advice i will defintly check those out Quote

Believe this is the first time I've read anything about them. Would you care to expand on them a bit? Love to hear your thoughts about them. Models and techniques you use them for, etc. Thanks. Nice thing about Dick's is there is one a mile down the road from my home. Quote
Packard Posted July 22, 2011 Posted July 22, 2011 Look for a rod on the flea market or eBay would be my suggestion. I got a BPS Extreme for $55 on eBay which retails at $100. Quote

Those are really nice rods for that money! Check out the St. Croix Triumph too...a very nice rod for the money. Quote
