Super User Bassin_Fin@tic Posted June 25, 2009 Super User Posted June 25, 2009 Was busy mending baits and making a few "creations" when I got the idea that I wanted something on the grande scale. Made from a 7 inch dinger,a couple rage chunks, and tail from 7 inch rage annaconda.Stretched out it is about 12.5 inches. What do you think? Wish me luck,I'll be sure to post if I catch anything,or I could send it to one of the cali guys to try out. (Rage lizard shown for size comparison) Quote
EastTexasBassin Posted June 25, 2009 Posted June 25, 2009 pretty cool. Looks like a baby crocodile lure. I'd fish it weightless. Quote

I make some pretty big baits out of pieces/parts occasionally, but this one takes the cake bro that bait looks sick! if you make more, i will buy a couple. if you have any chartuese pumpkin or watermelon red that bait will most definitely look like a baby gator. that could be a very dangerous bait in the everglades. very creative and nice work. FishDontLikeMe1301600221 Posted June 26, 2009 Posted June 26, 2009 wow that thing is huge.that thing is going to get hammered HARD!!!! Quote
bigtimfish Posted June 26, 2009 Posted June 26, 2009 Ha, I thought I was the only one that did that type of stuff. I have a buddy who fished one of my baits and got an 11lb out of Toledo Bend about a month ago. 8"lizard w/6" zoom trickworm and a sabertail added to the tip of the tail. After dissection and reattachment they are about 12"long and they work. When I get home I will try to post some pictures of some that I made. It is a good feeling knowing that a bait you made or altered catches fish. Quote

sambrochill Posted June 26, 2009 Posted June 26, 2009 that thing is a beast, you've got let us know if you catch anything with it. Because what ever it is, ain't gonna be small. Quote
rubba bubba Posted June 26, 2009 Posted June 26, 2009 very interesting bait. I bet thats killer during the spawn...... Yeah - put a hook in the head, the middle and the tail. It'll probably span 3 beds so you can hammer multiple targets at the same time. Leaves more time for drinking beer - clearly he's an efficiency genius. Quote
