got a late start this morning and hit the water around 10ish. fished the alley and had a great session. we had 20 pounds by noon. it was sweltering hot with no wind. tore 'em up on snakes on the ledges. caught about dozen fish this size. off the water by 2.

Considering the heat, you really tore them up.

Congrats.

Fished Holiday (miami canal) from about 4 to 8 today.... did pretty well with numbers but no bigguns. FWC was waiting at the boat ramp for guys coming in for some safety inspection harrassment... for once i actually had all the required crap with me.....

nice rob. i just wish fwc would shake the people down who EVERYBODY knows should be shaken down. try the big snakes, they have been working on the outside edge of the pads by letting them slowly fall of the ledge.

You see them ignoring boats that are barely afloat, over crowded with 2" of free board all the time. They probably needed a few tickets to meet their quota.

My boat looks like hell, but I keep a tool box with all the safety stuff. I get stopped now and then, the last time was the first qualifier for the KOTG. I got a warning for not having a throw-able seat cushion. I left it in my garage. Now it is stuffed in a compartment.

Which ramp did you use? How was the water level in reference to launching?

Has anybody been to Sawgrass recently?

I was at Sawgrass 4 weeks ago and bagged a 5# bass in late morning in the east canal on green/red ez's. The water clarity was excellent. The ramps are fine, the parking was a real pain.

Thanks.....

I will give it a shot, I've had bad summer as far as any size.... I'm gonna shoot out to the Alley next week and see what I can get into....

I also agree whole heartedly with you regarding FWC.....

the water level is up to a decent depth, starting to fill the flats....no problem launching at Holiday.

Water levels are coming up some, I check the spillways every morning, the s44 has 1 gate open, wish it was closer.
