bdjk00 Posted July 19, 2011 Posted July 19, 2011 Looking for a jack-of-all trades hardbait color. One that will catch fish pretty much any time of year. Im thinking either shad or firetiger but want some opinions. I know there are certain conditions for every color but all i want is a good universal color. Quote
Super User Grey Wolf Posted July 19, 2011 Super User Posted July 19, 2011 If I could only use one color , it would be white. Quote
LuckyHandsINC. Posted July 19, 2011 Posted July 19, 2011 White/Black back This is the best in my opinion also. If your looking for an all around color this will give you good contrast in most conditions because its half dark half light. Quote
Super User Dwight Hottle Posted July 19, 2011 Super User Posted July 19, 2011 If I could only use one color , it would be white. Not a bad choice! Quote
Super User Fishes in trees Posted July 19, 2011 Super User Posted July 19, 2011 While I know that you can use one color for all conditions,I've got to ask, "Why would you?" I don't see the point of limiting yourself if you don't have to. Quote
tholmes Posted July 19, 2011 Posted July 19, 2011 IF I had to choose one color (and I'm glad that I don't) it would be shad. Tom Quote
JoePhish Posted July 19, 2011 Posted July 19, 2011 I'd probably go with Silver with a Black top, maybe with a White belly. Quote

zachb34 Posted August 9, 2011 Posted August 9, 2011 I throw shad/sexy shad in every condition with sucess. Quote
river-rat Posted August 9, 2011 Posted August 9, 2011 I basically rely on two colors - for light to medium stained water I use tennessee shad - for heavy stain to muddy water it's hard to beat Black and Chartruese. Quote
Super User Catt Posted August 9, 2011 Super User Posted August 9, 2011 Top water – bone orange belly Cranks – chartreuse blue back Quote
