BayouBassAssassin Posted June 26, 2009 Posted June 26, 2009 I'm planning on ordering some lures from tackle warehouse. What are some of your favorite and most productive baits? Be specific and it can be anything from soft plastics to buzzaits. Quote

BayouBassAssassin Posted June 26, 2009 Author Posted June 26, 2009 If I was to get just one expensive bait like a Lucky Craft which one should it be? Quote
Steven Ladner Posted June 27, 2009 Posted June 27, 2009 If I was to get just one expensive bait like a Lucky Craft which one should it be? Depends on what depth you like to fish the most. Give us a little more detail on what you like to fish and I'm sure some guys will be glad to give suggestions Quote
Mottfia Posted June 27, 2009 Posted June 27, 2009 I'm sure that you're already loaded down with plastics but i'd suggest getting some Paca Craws if you don't already. its a very consistent bait. One thing that might help out is what type of fisherman are you? I would hate to suggest a lure that you don't like to throw or doesn't fit your style. I love spinnerbaits and recomend everyone to learn them but I know a ton of people that can't stand them. you know. Mottfia Quote
BayouBassAssassin Posted June 27, 2009 Author Posted June 27, 2009 I'm a beginner and most of what I use is worms or baby brush hogs. I just recently caught my first spinnerbait fish. Before that, I hated using them. I don't know what depth I'm fishing so all I can tell you is that its mainly small ponds that I fish. Quote
brandonmccray Posted June 27, 2009 Posted June 27, 2009 A good one to look at is the 3/8 oz. Koppers smallmouth. It has a subtle action and usually can get me one on days when not much is biting. Mine has the flash finish, and although I mainly use it in clearer water, it actually does pretty well in dirty water also. Quote
