bassin is addicting Posted June 26, 2009 Posted June 26, 2009 i read a lot about the fluke here. but not much on the gulp jerk shad. is the fluke that much better for LMB? just wonderin' what makes one better than the other..... or are they pretty much the same and it is just a prefernce thing. headin' to Dick's after work and wantin' to know which one to get... and color(s) thanks.. also, what size/style hook is best. bigtimfish Posted June 26, 2009 Posted June 26, 2009 I can't comment on the berkley, I do not fish them. I love the fluke though. I also love the ol school bass assassin. But if I had to guess I would say it's a Personal preference. I always do fine with a 3/0 texposer hook or a 3/0 g lock worm gamakatsu. Quote
aarogb Posted June 26, 2009 Posted June 26, 2009 Do yourself a favor and get the Flukes. Gulp! baits aren't worth the trouble. My favorite color is white. Quote
Super User Dan: Posted June 26, 2009 Super User Posted June 26, 2009 the main difference is that flukes don't smell like butthole. Quote

Super User Micro Posted June 26, 2009 Super User Posted June 26, 2009 The Berkleys work great. I use them weightless. I hook them a little differently. I hook them through the side at about mid body. I cast them out and twitch them back. I've caught a lot of fish this way. Quote

It is the cover craw ,flick shake, and cross tail shad demos. Quote
