Super User Nitrofreak Posted July 18, 2011 Super User Posted July 18, 2011 Hula poppin around lilly pads and grass lines EARLY in the AM. AAAAHHHHHH nothing beats the sound of top water hits in the morning. Quote
Super User Grey Wolf Posted July 18, 2011 Super User Posted July 18, 2011 what is your favorite technique in the summer time? Cranks. What's yours ? Quote
Stasher1 Posted July 18, 2011 Posted July 18, 2011 Right now I'd say weightless Trick Worms/floating worms over pads early in the day, poppers/floating jerkbaits in the evening, and shaky head any other time. Ask me in a couple weeks and I might say something different. Quote
Super User K_Mac Posted July 18, 2011 Super User Posted July 18, 2011 Deep offshore structure @ night I haven't had many chances to night fish lately, and I sure miss this. A jig, creature or big worm on the edge of a deep weed line is my current favorite. Quote
Super User BASSclary Posted July 18, 2011 Super User Posted July 18, 2011 Big football head jigs and 7" Worms Quote
Gangley Posted July 18, 2011 Posted July 18, 2011 My favorite is probably a Texas rigged 10" worm because it gets the job done. It's not the funnest technique, but it's the most productive for me and therefore my favorite. If the productivity shifted to a different lure and presentation, then my favorite would shift accordingly Quote
Super User Fishes in trees Posted July 18, 2011 Super User Posted July 18, 2011 This season I've been cranking square bills quite a bit and drop shotting. Quote
sexy shad 12 Posted July 18, 2011 Author Posted July 18, 2011 Cranks. What's yours ? Cranking under water structure and rip -raps Quote
brushhoggin Posted July 19, 2011 Posted July 19, 2011 my favorite technique is the one that i've narrowed it down to any particular day after the usual process of elimination. lol Knowing that its summer time narrows it down to topwaters and shallow cranks in the morning, and jigs and plastics as the day progresses and the bite is in transition to deeper water. Quote
Super User NorcalBassin Posted July 19, 2011 Super User Posted July 19, 2011 Early/late = topwater Daytime = drop shot Quote
Fat-G Posted July 19, 2011 Posted July 19, 2011 Spro Frog in the slop. Lately I've been doing well stroking Rage Craws in deep water. Quote
Red Posted July 19, 2011 Posted July 19, 2011 Flippin and pitchin into the shallow timber is ALWAYS my favorite. Throwing a blade or squarebill to the same cover is a close second. Quote
tholmes Posted July 19, 2011 Posted July 19, 2011 Whatever is workin'. Lately, with the extreme heat, it's been T-rigged plastics and deep cranks. Tom Quote
Super User grimlin Posted July 19, 2011 Super User Posted July 19, 2011 I've gotten extremely hooked on frogs.Paycheck transporter frog pops & spits and walks the dog. Quote
Nosoup4u Posted July 19, 2011 Posted July 19, 2011 Hula poppin around lilly pads and grass lines EARLY in the AM. AAAAHHHHHH nothing beats the sound of top water hits in the morning. Saturday evening my daughter and I were fishing from the shore. I was about 200 feet away from her when about a 3 pounder hit my jitterbug. My daughter said from the sound of the splash she thought I fell in the water. Quote
