Ever had the opportunity to hunt & fish at the same time? Bring along the old fishing pole while duck & goose hunting a marsh or lake?

We do it when dove hunting a lot since we usually dove hunt around ponds. Shot birds in the morning until they stop flying, fish until evening when the birds start flying again. Do pretty much the same thing for turkeys in the spring. We also take .22s when we're setting lines on the river by my friends parents house to shoot squirrels while we're on the river. They don't seem to think much about a boat floating down the river for some reason.

I used to all the time during salmon season when I was a kid we would shoot more coons, fox, coyotes during salmon fishing then we did running dogs they would be picking at the dead salmon on the banks and weed smoke em with the .22mag they didn't even care that we were there. Now I will in certain spots to keep ground hog populations in check on 2 of my buddys farms I fish the pond and river that runs threw the farm.

NO YOU DONT!. the DEC is trying hard to keep them under control. if we had hogs your 2 buddies' farms would have more problems than some woodchucks. they are very damging and dangerous. i dont want them

Hogs are great for roastin and all, but they are a big time nussance around here. My brother and I killed 147 of em the past two years. He got married last weekend and we roasted 7 of em for the reception  . But, they eat all the acorns and root up everything. By January, the deer have nothing to eat in the swamp because of the dern things.

There's been sightings 100mi east of me and the DEC put in the hunting guidlines for every year this past year there was a section saying to shoot them on site and call the dec no license required

I hunt squirrel and grouse near the river, throw a rod in with the shotgun/.22, hunt from sun up till about 11 or so, then go down the river and fish smallies. Makes for a nice day.
