So over 4th of July weekend i went to Lake Eufaula, OK with some friends to watch a concert and take the boat out. Really didn't plan on fishing much but brought the poles anyways. The entire weekend was amazing, except for 2 hiccups in the trip.

The first hiccup was when the starter went out, keep in mind i have an Inboard/Outboard boat, so changing the starter was not a fun task. Especially when you are on the water. I put a new starter in and it ended up being the wrong one. So woke up next morning, purchased another starter and "Vroom" she started right up. Total work time probably 4 hours.

The second hiccup was about fishing. I got tired of messing with the starter so i decided to take a break and fish for a minute off of the boat slip. I have been fishing senko's now for a couple of months, Nothing hardcore or anything, just maybe actually fished a senko itself for maybe 5 hours total. I have still yet to catch a fish on them, unfortunately. So i grab my pole and throw it in the water about 10-15 times. I have 3 buddys watching, and my fiance. I go to cast again and accidently miss my spot and throw it on the boat slip. I had it wacky rigged and it get's stuck in someone's rope. So my buddy goes over there and tries to take the hook out, and is unsuccesful. So he tells me that he's going to go get pliers, so i decide to try. I lay the pole down walk over there and i end up getting the hook out about the same time that he returns. I fix the senko on the hook, throw it in the water and walk back to my pole. Well my buddy goes ahead and reels the pole in for me as im walking back. BAM!! He lands a largemouth. Probably right around 2lbs. Yet it was unfortunate because i have never caught anything on a senko before, and i set everything up for him. What made it worse was he had never heard of a senko, nor had he ever used a baitcaster. So that was the last, and only fish caught that entire weekend. All my buddy's have been giving me crap over it also.

Anyone else have any good stories, where the fish should of been yours, yet someone else ends up getting it?

Sorry im not the best writer in the world, call it ADD maybe.

Nice story, you still haven't caught one on a senko:P Yeah I can affirm I let my paps hold my bass pole because I was doing something with my bream rig and BAM! less than ten seconds he borrows the bass pole and boats an LMB. His first bass ever btw..

I have a good one but I was the person who got the other guys fish. One of my friends I go fishing with has never caught a bass so I usually try and help him more than I try to catch fish when he goes fishing with me. so one trip out I suggest he try using a crank bait all morning instead of switching lures every other cast. He took my advice initially but by about 10:00 he was bored with a crank so he hands me the pole he's been using and jokingly says "watch your going to catch one right now" and the very first first cast I made I got a nice little 2 lber. He wont ever let me live it down.

I went shore fishing this morning with my friend, we are having a contest of who can catch the biggest bass this year. He was winning with a 2.5 pound bass. I hadnt caught any since the contest started and today I casted out a gary yamamoto cray fish, as soon as it hit the water i had a big hit from a 3-3.5lb bass. I reeled the fish in about 40 feet, got it on shore, and before i could lip it and take weigh it it fell off the hook and i went to grab it and i fell in the water and so did the fish, now im losing and i have to listen to him giving me crap about how i still havent caught a bass yet.

i have a story, but i am the one who caught someone elses fish.

I was fishing with my girlfriend and her little brother and i was the only one having any luck at the time. She was getting a little mad and put her pole down and i told her to put on one of these little dragon flies i recently bought on, they were so light she couldnt cast it out there so i thought i would give it a chance. She has a little pink pole, not as small as one of the snoopy poles, right before i cast it i was telling her how bad it would suck to catch a big fish on her pole. so i cast it out there and the fly hits the water and bam a big bass just nails it and it was a fight to get him to shore with her pole.... anyways the fish ended up weighing four pounds and it was the only fish caught on her pole that night
