D4u2s0t Posted June 19, 2009 Posted June 19, 2009 Anyone tried it? I was looking for a new spinnerbait and came across it, bought 2 and will be trying them out today. They look top notch. I'll let you know how I do on them today, didn't see anything posted about them. Quote
mi_basser Posted June 19, 2009 Posted June 19, 2009 I haven't tried the burner spinnerbaits, I have been useing the War Eagle Screaming Eagle for fast retrieve(burning) situations and I absolutely love them, they stay down in the water and run true. Quote
adclem Posted June 19, 2009 Posted June 19, 2009 Never have tried the SK Burner Spinning Baits(I presume that is what you are referring too), looked at them but I like the War Eagle Screaming Eagles. They are awesome, work flawless and produce as well. Later, Quote
Super User CWB Posted June 19, 2009 Super User Posted June 19, 2009 They run straight as an arrow at the fastest speeds. Now if I could only catch something on them. Matter of time. Quote
cyph3r Posted June 19, 2009 Posted June 19, 2009 ive tried them and the one in sexy shad worked really well for me. it worked well on pike too until i finally lost it to one... Quote
D4u2s0t Posted June 19, 2009 Author Posted June 19, 2009 I got 12 decent bass today (got more than that but i don't count the lil babies) and 4 of them were on the spinnerbait. works great! Still have not had a single hit on the space monkeys. Quote
bigtimfish Posted June 19, 2009 Posted June 19, 2009 Go with a Stanley Wedge or Icon, Even the minnowhead and vibrashafts are good. Quote
D4u2s0t Posted June 23, 2009 Author Posted June 23, 2009 loving these spinnerbaits. snapped my line casting sunday, must have rubbed it on something in the water, threw the spinner about 100 yards lol. I ordered 3 more today, and paid extra for express shipping. I'm having pretty good luck with them. Quote
Super User Dan: Posted June 23, 2009 Super User Posted June 23, 2009 i was disappointed with the build quality. The one I bought was bent out of shape when I bought it and the lead head is clearly asymmetrical. I was also surprised that it started to roll a little bit when I burned it. I figured a bait designed for being burned would stay upright when retrieved at high speeds. Quote
lineslinger Posted June 23, 2009 Posted June 23, 2009 Watched KVD catch a ton of fish on 'em, so broke down and bought a couple. Usually don't fall for hype, but needed something to run fast and shallow. First day I used them caught a couple between 3-4 lbs. and was sold on them. Have caught fish with them consistently when situation called for them. JMO, but I think our attitude and confidence in the bait we're using has as much to do with it as the bait itself. Fish have seemed to hook larger fish too! Happy hits! Quote

Caught a bunch of fish, all the paint is still there, nothing is bent, skirt is great, it seems extremely well built to me... maybe you just got a bad one. mine didn't roll at all either. Quote

I was in the market for a spinnerbait anyways, so figured what the hell. very happy with the purchase. Quote
Super User Dan: Posted June 24, 2009 Super User Posted June 24, 2009 I figured it was probably a fluke but it almost seemed like the mold they used for the head was messed up. I just expected more for $6-7. Quote

D4u2s0t Posted June 26, 2009 Author Posted June 26, 2009 got my 3 new spinnerbaits, and all 3 are great. guessing you jsut had a fluke. i have good luck with them, give them a 2nd shot! yesterday I got 6 lm and a nice pickerel on them in about an hour of fishing off the dock. The pickerel pulled it a little wide, I just bent it back and it was as good as new. So for any doubters, these work. I was using the sexy shad. I also do well with chartreuse/white. I'll be sure to keep a few of these on hand. Highly recommended. Quote
