ptomacbass Posted June 24, 2009 Posted June 24, 2009 Does anyone else think that this is one of the best baits to come out in the last five years, only behind the Ragetails and Red Eye Shads? Quote
cobalt Posted June 24, 2009 Posted June 24, 2009 I love me a sweat beave. Especially in "dirty sanchez" Quote
Blue Streak Posted June 24, 2009 Posted June 24, 2009 I think it is THE best soft bait to come out in the last 5 years. The Sweet Beaver and Paca Craw will catch bass when other baits will not. Quote
bass wrangler569 Posted June 25, 2009 Posted June 25, 2009 Spring Break color is pretty good too. Yep! ;D They are pretty awesome baits. Although I wouldn't exactly call red eye shads that revolutionary Quote
BassResource.com Advertiser FD. Posted June 25, 2009 BassResource.com Advertiser Posted June 25, 2009 I like the double wide beaver too. Quote
ptomacbass Posted June 25, 2009 Author Posted June 25, 2009 The Red Eyes aren't revolutionary, they just catch fish, so I like them. ;D Spring Break color is pretty good too. Yep! ;D They are pretty awesome baits. Although I wouldn't exactly call red eye shads that revolutionary Quote
The_Natural Posted June 25, 2009 Posted June 25, 2009 Does anyone else think that this is one of the best baits to come out in the last five years, only behind the Ragetails and Red Eye Shads? Behind the rage tail and Redeye shads?! The Sweet Beaver is the most copied bait since the Senko, and like the Senko...created a whole new category of soft baits. The Rage Tail is a great product, but was made in response to and to compete with the explosively popular Paca Craw and Paca Chunk. Quote
Avalonjohn44 Posted June 25, 2009 Posted June 25, 2009 I catch more on a beaver than on senkos, let alone the Rage Tails... Beaver is my favorite bait. Brush Hog is a close second. Quote
Dixon Posted June 25, 2009 Posted June 25, 2009 How do you guys fish these? Just got a few packs from TW. Very excited but havent had enough time with them. Just t-rigging them right? Any tips. Quote
Super User Tin Posted June 25, 2009 Super User Posted June 25, 2009 The Beaver is Reaction Innovations second best creation... :-X Quote

The Beaver is Reaction Innovations second best creation... :-X And I think you guys are right, the Sweet Beaver is probablly at the top. I have caught over thirty fish on them in the last four days. Pantera61 Posted June 25, 2009 Posted June 25, 2009 I use the smallie beaver as a jig trailer, big texan and sprayed grass, does anything imitate a bluegill any better? Quote

Blue Streak Posted June 25, 2009 Posted June 25, 2009 I fish them t rigged with out a weight. If I have to use a weight it is the lightest I can get by with. I use all sizes and get a little different glide with each. You can fish them on just about any rig you like. The only wrong thing you can do is not use them. Same applies for the Paca Craw, might even be better than the Beaver. Be careful, you can get hooked by the success of either of these and not throw anything else. I have fished soft plastics for many, many years and I try every new one that hits the market. None have compared to the catch rate of either. Quote
Super User J Francho Posted June 25, 2009 Super User Posted June 25, 2009 How do you guys fish these? Just got a few packs from TW. Very excited but havent had enough time with them. Just t-rigging them right? Any tips. Follow along with the three videos. Works with 8/0 Owner SSW hooks as well. Once rigged, drop in weed pockets. Hop a couple of times, no fish, try the next hole. Set the hook HARD. http://www.burniehaney.com/blank.html Quote
Super User Tin Posted June 25, 2009 Super User Posted June 25, 2009 Alright...I'll bite...what is Reaction Innovations best creation :-? Skinny Dipper Yup, by far. Quote
The Outdoorsman Posted June 25, 2009 Posted June 25, 2009 While I like the Sweet Beaver, I find that the heads rip easy on hooksets. The Berkely Beast seems to hold up a little longer. I do like both baits though. Now I have thought about (after I already fished with both) using a Parasite clip to help solve this problem but havent gotten back on the water with them yet to test it out. I wish Mann's would come out with one because Im sure their head design would hold up a little better. Quote
TrippyJai Posted June 25, 2009 Posted June 25, 2009 Alright...I'll bite...what is Reaction Innovations best creation :-? Skinny Dipper Yup, by far. I heard a lot about this bait as well. Quote
