Super User Gatorbassman Posted July 12, 2011 Super User Posted July 12, 2011 No I don't have one but I do get to shoot one from time to time and it is my favorite. My wife won't let me sell my house, my boat, and all our cars so I can get one. Sometimes I just don't understand women. Quote
fishingkidPA Posted July 12, 2011 Posted July 12, 2011 i love my mossberg 500 and 1897 winchester 12 gauge. primary use hunting. Quote
Al Wolbach Posted July 12, 2011 Posted July 12, 2011 Winchester Model 12, these days, mostly used for turkey shoots. Mossberg 835 Ulti-mag for the rare times that I hunt turkey or doves........Al Quote
Super User 00 mod Posted July 12, 2011 Super User Posted July 12, 2011 I understand. I got the chance while shooting in a squad at the US OPEN to shoot a gentleman's $120k Krieghoff. It was nice, but not for the price. I guess it was all the engraving and gold inlays! Jeff Quote
lk ozark Posted July 13, 2011 Author Posted July 13, 2011 I was looking at a Benelli Legacy. Why are they so expensive ? I'll still take my Citori but it's a very nice auto. Quote
lk ozark Posted July 14, 2011 Author Posted July 14, 2011 Blaser. WOW! I've never seen one in the flesh and I spend a lot of time at gun shops/shows. What makes them so nice? Catt,I'm still (after 40 years of hunting)trying to learn the secrets of the .410. Quote
Super User Catt Posted July 14, 2011 Super User Posted July 14, 2011 Secrets of the .410? The first shotgun my dad bought me was a Marlin Model 59 .410 Bolt action single shot (still have it); I’ve killed ducks, geese, squirrels, rabbits, & even deer with it. When shooting .410 you have to be patient enough to let the game get close. Quote
Super User clayton86 Posted July 14, 2011 Super User Posted July 14, 2011 Iv rolled coyotes at 100yds with singleshot .410 idk the make cuz its completly unmarked it has a screw for a front bead but it sure throws a slug nice Quote
Super User 00 mod Posted July 14, 2011 Super User Posted July 14, 2011 The thing that makes my Blaser so nice is it fits me! Mechanical triggers, best balance ever! I have owned many sporting shotguns, including Krieghoff, and wouldn't trade my Blaser for any of them! Shooting my old Krieghoff Quote
TerryR Posted July 15, 2011 Posted July 15, 2011 Winchester 1300 12 ga. with a 24 inch barrel for hunting squirrel and grouse. Remington 870 Express 20 ga. with a 28 inch barrel for pheasant and dove. Baikal IZH27 o/u 12 ga. with a 28 inch barrel for trap shooting. Quote
Super User Micro Posted July 15, 2011 Super User Posted July 15, 2011 I have an Ithaca M37 Featherlight that I have had since I was a kid. I love that gun. Maybe a gun exists that I would like better, but I've never held one I like better. Quote
Bass_Fanatic Posted July 18, 2011 Posted July 18, 2011 I dont have a favorite...as long as it shoots and kills, it good for me! I rotate between a Mossburg 935 Magnum Waterfowl edition, an old Browning Auto5, a Stoeger P2000, and a Remington 870. All are 12 gauge and they have all killed too many ducks for me to count. I normally kill around 300 ducks a year myself, which considering the limit is 6 a day for a 60 day season (360 a year), I would say that aint too bad! Quote

Super User Hooligan Posted July 27, 2011 Super User Posted July 27, 2011 Far and away my favourite gun is a Browning Superposed B25 in 28ga. It was purchased by the original owner from the custom shop, sold relatively shortly thereafter. It's got 29.5" barrels, and I'd assume it was for that reason that he sold it. It's the love of my shotgun life. Quote
j.bruno Posted July 28, 2011 Posted July 28, 2011 Mossberg 935 for Duck Hunting Browning Citori for Pheasant Quote

Captain Obvious Posted August 4, 2011 Posted August 4, 2011 I love my 870 I wouldent trade it for anything iv had 11-87s and I got my wife an 1100 but I'm still partial to my 870 Remington 870 12 gauge is my favorite shotgun. My question is what can you not use it for? Quote
lk ozark Posted August 4, 2011 Author Posted August 4, 2011 You are right,an 870 or any other decent pump is all one needs. I saw a Browning O/U about 35 yrs.ago and fell in love. So 20 years ago I bought one (12 ga.)then later I added the 20. Oh, did I mention I also have two 870 Wingmasters. Both are TC'S. Quote
