nick76 Posted January 3, 2012 Posted January 3, 2012 Was in Nashville between Xmas and New Years with the Family. Wife and I both have been looking for handguns to carry concealed. She absolutely loved the feel of the Ruger SR9C. I thought it was nice and the feel was good. Then she came home and found a place to shoot one. She fell in love and I bought one yesterday for her. She is pumped. Now to get a 1000 rounds through it ASAP. Quote

RyneB Posted February 23, 2012 Posted February 23, 2012 Taurus PT 140 Pro with a Crossbreed holster. Quote
nick76 Posted February 23, 2012 Posted February 23, 2012 Taurus PT 140 Pro with a Crossbreed holster. How you like that trigger pull on that Taurus? I got one from my father as a gift and I hate the trigger on it. My Ruger SR9c has a much lighter trigger pull and a lot less travel to get there. Quote

I also have an AK 47 which has a long trigger pull. I actually prefer a long or heavy trigger pull. It makes no question on when you pull the trigger. A hair trigger is too unpredictable to me. The reason i purchased the PT 140 was because it has a long pull. Everyone has there own opinion on whats best and what not. I just prefer to have a predictable trigger. Quote

My dad loves the trigger pull on the PT140 as well. I guess I just like the shorter pull. Part of the pull is the Double Action as well. Do you use a laser at all? Trying to figure if I should spend the cash or not. Quote
RyneB Posted February 26, 2012 Posted February 26, 2012 I do not use a laser. Its my concealed carry gun, so a laser would prevent it from fitting in the holster correctly. Quote
Jim_M Posted February 26, 2012 Posted February 26, 2012 I picked up one of those ugly DAO Ruger LCR's last week. Can NOT believe how light it is. The trigger pull is better than any I have used in its class. Pleasure to shoot even the 38+P ammo. Me likes Quote
Super User bigbill Posted March 2, 2012 Super User Posted March 2, 2012 I just shot my new Smith & Wesson model 58 with 4'' barrel in 41mag in nickel finish on sale for $699 @ my local GS. The 41mag round is such a sweet shooting round in the N Frame smith i like it. Power wise its close to the 44mag. The guys who own both the 41mag and the 44mag tell me when huting with either one they do not see any killing power difference between the two. These are my very first N Frame S&W's too they seem to be really balanced good. I may pick up a new S&W model 29 in 44mag next. Being a large guy i can CCW carry any gun up to 10'' barrels and you'll never see it on me. I shoulder holstered the 7 1/2'' barreled 44mag's for eons. As i get older now i like to keep it smaller now. Quote
