That I did not.I don't have a compression test. I was just hoping to go off that it was rebuilt and being my brother's uncle that it would be a small problem but that doesn't seem to be the case here. Have anyone ever seen a sparkplug without a tip?? The spark plus doesn't have tips and the only pics I looked up all have them. They still spark just never seen these before, maybe wrong kind of spark??. L76v is the model number. First time I ever seen one. Here is a pic of the Champion L76v model. Even his is Champion but no tips.

That very well could be your problem, replace it and see if that takes care of it.

If it is gone you need to take a good look inside and make sure the piece did not break off and is in the combustion chamber or it could cause you some pretty severe problems ok.

Are you able to post pics?

If you are I would like to see the plug you took out.

Ye I will try to post a pic soon as can Thanks Nitro. But from what I seen it looks natural not having a tip but that's the first for me. If a tip was there they must of sand it down to where nowhere notices. I even check my other boat L77v I think and they even have the tip for the spark area. I can't find any info on L76v coming without those tips either. It would be nice if that is the problem though cheap and simple.

Sorry dhami013 for hijacking your thread.

Ha no it's all good. Engine trouble is not fun. I know, as do many fisherman out there. I just hope the carb being cleaned out is all I need. We'll see.

Good luck with your motor, and yeah do post some pics.

It, it's, IT'S ALIVE!

Played the chokes, got her cooking for 20 minutes using seafoam to clean out the carb, cut it off for ten mins, then got her roaring again. NICE!

Going on the Rappahanock tonight.

Yeah well I was surprised to have it die on me again. Luckily I had the trolling motor to get back. Sucked. I don't know what is going on. I had it running today. It's like God and my motor knew I was on the water and the universe didn't want it to happen. So frustrating.

I'm gunna rebuild the carb. And see what happens from there.
